Goes out of balance all the time.

I purchased this washer in March 2025. Since that time, I've had 4 service calls because the machine goes out of balance quite often. After the first service call in April 2025, GE advised the tech to replace the tub and the 4 suspension rods. This was done, but it did not change anything as it still goes out of balance. I have to say that when it's not dancing across my laundry room floor, it's a decent machine with great features and cycles, huge capacity and easy to use controls, but I have to babysit it. I cannot do a load of laundry without being close by. If it goes out of balance, it is very loud and rough. I have to pause the machine, rearrange the load, push the machine back into place, then start it up again. Towels, sheets and jeans go out of balance constantly. I'm at the end of my rope with this machine. I was told by one service tech that I probably use too much detergent and have buildup on the basket which is causing the out of balance to occur. This is ridiculous. We have soft water and don't need to use as much detergent. I use washing machine cleaner monthly, and we wash full, balanced loads: towels, sheets, jeans, lightweight items, etc. I would really like to have GE take the machine back and refund me for what I paid.

Do not buy

This is one of the worst washers I’ve ever had. The lid has now broken twice. It moves so much when it washes the clothes that it becomes unbalanced and just shuts off.

Loads won’t wash! Absolutely terrible! Never fills all the way up! I feel like my clothes are always dirty!!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!

Cheap, nothing but problems since bought new

Lemon of washers

We had the product less than a month, used it a couple of times and it stopped working. We love GE appliances, however this time we are not so lucky. Hoping we can return this for refund ASAP...laundry piling up!

Know what you're buying

The longer I have this washer, the more I hate it. There is never enough water in the tub to have all the items wet. There is a "Deep Fill" option, but you have to stand there and press it at least 2 and sometimes 3 or 4 times to have enough water in the tub. You can hold the button for 3 seconds and it will fill to the top, but who needs a full tub of water for a half load of laundry? So you can't leave the washer until there is enough water to do your laundry the way it needs. Also, the deep fill option is not usable on "Normal" cycle. That's right, the cycle you would use the most is only available if you want half of the load to be dry during the cycle. And on top of that, if you open the lid for any reason, half of the water drains out. So you not only lose half of the water you stood there pressing "Deep Fill" to get, but you will also lose the soap that has been distributed into the water. Why in the world would they make a machine that drains water if the lid is raised? By what stretch of the imagination is that energy efficient? I'm about ready to get my grandmother's wringer washer and use that. Cleans the laundry better than these and more energy efficient than the models manufactured today.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with this washer. The amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers, such as this one, are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary. Annoying

I do not like this washer. The normal setting barely fills the tub no matter how full the tub is. The only setting I have been able to use and actually use the whole tub is on bulky wash. It’s the only option for a complete deep fill. I want my old, “dumb” washer. This “smart” one sucks.

It’s normal for high efficiency washing machines to use less water as they require less to get your clothes clean. However, you can add additional water to your cycle when using the Deep Fill option. Press and release Deep Fill for an additional 3 gallons or hold Deep Fill for 3 seconds to get the deepest fill possible.
