Washer Lid

Please do NOT buy this washer. We purchased this washer in 2023, and the inner back to the lid cracked and finally cracked to the extent it fell off from the lid itself. Warranty doesn’t cover it and now we are just hanging on prayers that it continues to wash for now. DO NOT get it….
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What A Great Washing Machine

I love the extra large size washing machine I can fit my king size comforters in side. So I no longer have to take them to the laundry mat and put them in the big boy machine.So I am so excited about that and how clean it gets my clothes.

Would not recommend this washer.

This washer is so loud! I had my current washer for 13 years and was looking so forward to a new machine. I am so disappointed. I even requested the dealer to replace it, but the second machine is the same way. It jerks and goes crazy when balancing. Even with a smaller load, it still goes nuts.

Failure to Launch

The brand new washer arrive and threw a lid error within the hour. The service team reported the soonest someone would arrive with the replacement part was 3 weeks away.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you wanted to try any troubleshooting in the meantime, we can advise the ‘Lid’ error is usually shown when three cycles have been started without opening the lid; it’s generally resolved by opening the lid, closing it again and starting a new cycle. As your washer is new, resetting the electronics by unplugging the washer for approximately two minutes before plugging it back in and pressing Start may help.

Not what I expected

It washes clothes but is so restrictive on the water it puts in the washer that the clothes are 1/3 to 1/2 covered in water. Deep fill, only adds 3 gallons of water sad, very sad. On the washer controls, it has a lot of choices for washing, but the options you want to adjust are also restricted. And you can not create a wash cycle and download it from the app. You must use a pre-programmed wash cycle from the app. Knowing what I now know, I would have gotten something different. I honestly expected more from a GE Profile. We have had a GE Profile stove for over 15 years great appliance, and that is why we got this one. They are not the same company.

You may notice that the water level is lower than on your previous washer. This is normal. This high-efficiency washing machine requires less water while providing an effective cleaning action. Water may not cover the top level of the clothes. You may view water levels on page 13 of your owner's manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-3000295.pdf&_ga.

You can press the Deep Fill button once before starting the cycle to add three gallons of water to the wash load. Once the washer has stopped filling, you can press it again to add three more gallons. If you want a full tub fill, press and hold the Deep Fill button for three seconds to fill the washer to the maximum water level. It will fill to approximately 26 gallons.

Piece of JUNK!

I gave it 1 star because ZERO Stars was not an option. This machine is so terrible that when we wash bed sheets it goes out of balance and the machine "walks across the floor". I think the guys that designed this washing machine had no idea what they were doing. I'm sure no one at GE uses this machine otherwise they would know what a piece of junk it is. We have had this machine since July 2023 and we are at the point where we give it away to anyone that would come and haul it away. Don't waste your money buing this GE washing machine.

Very poor performance

Every load of jeans , sheets, towels, will tangle into knots even with the tangle control on, also will go off balance 8 out of 10 loads . It will give way to much water or not enough , like the senseing is never correct . When i contacted ge they put me on hold to never return and on chat went to unavailable . All our appliances are ge profile so the washer was a huge disapointment , dont waste your money
