Bad bad BAD

Appallingly horrible piece of machinery. It is so sad how much the quality of appliances has rapidly decreased and this is the epitome of that problem. It is absolutely incapable of washing any bedding, INCLUDING SHEETS without absolutely soaking them with water, making them impossible to dry. GE should be truly ashamed at the staggering inadequacy of their machines to do basic washing tasks. Total waste.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do NOT buy this machine!

I am VERY UNHAPPY with this washer! The water level is always 6" below the clothes! How can clothes get clean when they're never in the water!!! The center agitator does not pull clothes down into the water. The clothes that are on top when cycle begins are still there when it drains. I always use "Deep Fill" and "Deep Rinse" because of liquid softener; but it isn't even close to a deep fill for a wash. I open the lid a couple times to push the clothes down into the water, and each time the lid closes it even drains out some water! Nothing about this machine seems "Smart" to me! Wish I had my old washer back!

We're more than glad to help you with your washer. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable usage has been reduced. And with washers using less water and energy now, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most are now programmed with load sensing to adjust levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.

We truly like our top loader much more than.our previous front loader. Our only complaint is ,unless one uses deep fill, the amount of water in the seum is not enough to cleanse the aize loads we wash.

Terrible washing machine

It’s the worst washing machine I’ve ever owned. Not only is the default water temperature hot as opposed to something more efficient like cold, It’s next to impossible to get enough water in. The agitator is practically useless. I’ve watched the clothing and it remains in the exact same position closed. They Do not come out clean. It’s a terrible machine. I wish I never bought it and I’m telling all my friends not to purchase one.
