Manual shouldn't be necessary to run a washer

Washer looks nice and it is quieter than my previous 12 yr old GE Profile. 4 stars due to having to read the manual for a washing machine! Love large capacity.

Far Below Expectations

I had a Samsung front load and was eager to get back to a top load with an agitator. However, this was not was I was looking for. I was initially attracted to this washer because it had a large load capacity with an agitator option, and I always remembered my previous washers with agitators doing a much better job at cleaning. But this isn't really what I expected. Here are my complaints:
- Agitator moves in a slow, weak, and circular motion. All this really ends up doing having clothes get caught inside of it, potentially ruining them. This is in contrast to agitators from older machines that move in short, forceful patterns.
- Clothes consistently come out very wrinkled. Literally every single time.
- Constant balancing issues. You have to be VERY careful how you load it, or the spin cycle will never complete properly. If it doesn't complete properly, you have to rebalance it yourself, and then perform a separate spin cycle.
- Getting it to fill to the properly water level is much harder than it should be. Deep Fill option is only available on select loads.
- Too much complexity for a machine that performs a simple task. The manual to this is almost 80 pages long, that's longer than specifications for some programming languages.

Good washer with multiple options

We purchased this washer as a replacement to a Samsung model that faulted with every spin cycle...even when there were no clothes in the washer, just water. This washer has had no such issues. It can be a little loud, but our laundry room is a little ways from any regular gathering areas (e.g., family room, kitchen, bedroom, etc.), so that has not been an issue. Overall, we're pleased with this purchase thus far.
