Enjoy this washer very much. I thank the rep at the store for suggesting an agitator, it actually holds more clothes then the ones without. Nice machine.

I love the amount of clothes that the machine can handle during just one wash. I can now wash my bed comforter at home. The number of wash selections to choose from is also amazing!

I love I can add extra water to wash my clothes. My last washer was a conserve water model and it damaged my clothes. I love I can add extra water to my washing.

Good, but not like my old GE

This Profile is good but not great. It replaces my 19 year old GE Harmony Washer (WPGT9350) which had to be the best large capacity washer GE ever produced, mainly because it serviced a family of 4 for 19 years. I chose this PTW705 as a near replacement due to capacity and cycles, but is noisy , especially on spin. And hate the locking lid, but I know this is a safety feature. I do miss the Stain Inspector that was on the old GE Harmony To be fair , I was a GE dealer for 40+ years so I have seen the up and downside of the entire GE appliance line and like most of my customers would say, they don't make 'em like they used to, but in reality we couldn't afford to if they had all metal parts and would last 20 years. Appliances on average last about 7 years and that is the way the appliance industry wants it., and have trained consumers to expect it.
GE is still a leader in innovation so every once in a while a good product comes along like this washer, good but not great..
