Takes Sime Getting Used To

My previous washer was a 30+yr old Kenmore, so this one was a Rip Van Winkle for me. Doesn't use nearly as much water (and thus detergent), but it seems to do a good job of cleaning. Getting used to all the features still, but did was some bulky comforters and sheets and it automatically adjusted the water level. Only complaint I have so far is that sometimes the tub will hit the inside wall of the machine (heard and seen). A little disconcerting but it always seems to redistribute the load and the noise stops. Had an really old GE washer (1963 vintage) and this one lasted until 1992. Hope the new one has legs like this!

XXL WASHER

So purchased washer because of drum size. Thought my King Comforter would fit. Well it fits, but unable to wash the comforter. I purchase the largest size King Comforters as possible, 110 X 96. The agitator wind spin however the comforter was pushed to the sides and did not move with the agitator. Other reviews indicated King Comforter would fit/wash just fine, no size indicated. I specially purchased this washer because of the agitator (hubby really wanted-I like front load) and the XXL drum size. Bummed I can't wash the comforter. I have to use the Deep Water Option on most loads, inlcuding socks and underwater. W/O this function, the water doesn't even cover the load, no matter how small. Features are nice, took a minute to get use to. Love the Towels and Jeans mode, again I use the Deep Fill option. Do I recommend, it depends on your needs. I probably would have gone with smaller size and less features if I knew about my comforters not fitting. You would like that a 5.20 cu in washer drum would be sufficient to wash a comforter, that is not over thick.

LOVE THIS WASHER!

This washer cleans and spins clothes better than any other washer I have ever used. Washer cleans so well and the clothes come out almost dry before putting them in the dryer.

Washer looks nice and has all kinds of wash cycle adjustments. Will need to try the pre-sets first to see how they work. It will take some time, but I hope it lasts longer than the last washer we had. We changed to an agitator on this unit hoping it will do a better job of cleaning cloths.

Great upgrade

We had a front loader prior and we struggled with leaks and keeping it clean. So far we are much happier with the top loader. The technology in the GE washer is great. We are hoping it is reliable and will last us a long time. Unit is a bit louder than expected when running, but isn’t a problem for us.
