We got this product cause we knew GE had the quality we was looking for! We got this exact one cause of the large size so I can wash our king size comforter with no problems!

I bought this washer and the dryer that goes with it from a local dealer. The high capacity is worthless because it can't handle a large load or any bedding or towels without going off balance. It can only handle small loads so I have to do twice as many loads as I used to with the 18 year old washer I owned previously. It's also very noisy. The dryer is also terrible. None of the sensor features work and the only way to get things dry is to use the timed setting for 90 minutes. Buyer beware!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All GE Appliances washer tubs move freely within our exclusive auto balance suspension system. It is a rod and spring floating suspension, designed to withstand extensive out of balance situations without the need for an "out of balance" switch.
During an out of balance load, the basket is allowed to "float" forward and backward, side to side, and up and down, yet it never touches the floor nor is it even connected to the floor. As a result, the clothes basket can move freely, and this is normal. If this isn't happening and you feel there is an issue, please take advantage of your warranty and reach out to GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737. Good washer for the price

I've used the washer a number of times now and I truly believe for the price it's a good deal. I'm still working out the kinks regarding the features, but it certainly serves my purpose.

We've set up our brand new washer. Been trying for over 4 hours to get it to actually stay on and wash a load of laundry. It just keeps shutting off after starting a cycle.
