Another Outstanding Braun Trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Braun electric razor years ago, but sadly left it in a hotel room on a work trip to Nepal. I made a mistake in going with a competitor, but found the lack of power and noise quite a step down from my original Braun. I finally bit the bullet and purchased another, but this time went with the XT5100 multitool and could not be happier. It's amazing for travelling, provides a nice tight and clean shave w/ precision blades, and will not be trading it in for the life of me!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great shave, could use extra battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace a very old per of clippers I used for everything, let me tell you things have gotten way better over the years for face and body shavers.
With no guard, it performs well giving a close to the skin shave with little stubble for me. I ended up using the 1mm guard to give the 5 oclock shadow look, and which I like it even better.
It cuts through thick and thin hair, but if you haven't trimmed in a while or ever, body hair will build up, you have to rinse it off quite often, but that will happen with any electric razer. The guards allow you to use if for many areas and styles, but you won't be able to go top to bottom with just a single charge. Meaning you have to plug it in and wait to finish a fully body sculpting.
That said it works smoothly, and I started using every day for my facial hair. Quick and easy

Great trimmer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this trimmer because I like to keep my facial hair short, but struggle with traditional razors and getting in-grown hairs and other irritation. I also don't like shaving every day, and noticed that when my hair grew out after about 3 days it was really hard to shave.
This trimmer has blades that can easily cut through longer hair, and also trims down the stubble so that you can get a fairly close shave on your face. I didn't feel it was the closest shave in the world, but I also didn't really want that because it usually leads to in-grown hairs. So far I haven't had any in-grown hairs while using this on my face, which is amazing!
It was very simple to set up, and I love that it is rechargeable. The battery has lasted through multiple days of shaving without charging. The guards are all great and give you a lot of options for different lengths depending on what you're trying to do. It's very light-weight and easy to use. The fact that it is so versatile that it can be used on your face or any other part of your body makes it my go-to tool for everything.
I'd strongly recommend anyone give it a try if they are looking for single trimmer that can do it all.

Great specialty razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this shaver/trimmer a few times since I got it. First time I used it for a dry shave on my face. I had to go through each area few times to get a smooth shave but at the end it did a decently close shave short of using a traditional razor. There were areas where it wasn't that smooth, because I didn't go through each area multiple times. It did take me longer than the time it takes me to shave with a razor. Also, I have another dry shaver which has a small vacuum inside it. Till date I've never realized the importance of it. With the Braun shaver, the tiny shaved hair goes all over and makes the sink a mess. A nifty feature in my other shaver, I wish this one had it too.
Now onto the wet shave part. This shaver is absolutely hopeless for wet shave. I used it with just water on my chest and could barely get any hair even after a few passes. This was with using the shaver directly without any of the combs that it comes with to control the hair length.
Overall I'll probably still use it for a dry shave on my body, but other than that it doesn't work well for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Honestly meh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this with high expectations, thinking it would perform as advertised. It does -okay- but it takes a while to even cut any hair. Additionally, the angle is kind of awkward, at least to me. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I also definitely cut my skin multiple times with this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very easy to use trimmer! The design fits in your hand well and it comes with many different lengths of guards. I did not have much luck with the shaver portion, but I had great luck with everything else. I love that it is fully waterproof to allow it to be used in the shower.
