Good but…

Many great features to this build, but a few things make it not as awesome as expected. As with many others, main complaint is about the doors not staying open on their own. But also, why make it so hard to switch between versions of different movies?! You could have included a few extra pieces so that all the accessories from Part II and III could be build simultaneously and swapped out. Even the license plates are a chore to change. I feel like I’m this way even the picture on the site is a little misleading showing all built at the same time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall this is a great build but I did not like that they removed the “preview” picture at the beginning of each bag in the building instructions. I like to know what it will/should look like after each bag is completed.

Excellent set

I got up early just to go get this set and it was definitely worth it. I’m just amazed at how well this is designed and how many features and options you have when building this set I also really love how there are new elements like the slopes used in the hood and the new windshield and the light brick is the cherry on top. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone wether your a Back to the Future fan or Lego fan.

APRIL FOOLS! Ok, look, with an April 1st release date, I had to. This set is miles ahead of the last LEGO DeLorean in 2013. Dare I say, you guys aren't ready for it yet... but your kids are gonna love it.

Boo! Missing Stickers!

This was a gift. The receiver said the build process was excellent, and spent many hours assembling it a few days each month. They said the build was fun, and it's on display.
When I went to put the spare pieces in the family communal Lego bin, I saw several large pieces in the pile. I asked the receiver of the gift what happened. They told me, "THERE WERE NO STICKERS AND I DIDN'T WANT TO MAKE A FUSS, SO I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING."
Oh my goodness, I bought this set as a Christmas present and the lack of stickers made me so sad as the stickers are what give the set the small fun details.
The set would have been a strong 5 star build if it had the stickers.

I have been waiting weeks for this set and it has exceed my expectations. Incredibly accurate looking set with creativity genius build techniques. Had an incredible afternoon putting together this set. I love seeing it on my display eventime.

In ten years from now this set will be still be the star attraction of any collection. The size the detail just the experience of building is remarkable.. I will for sure be buying another set for the collection it’s a no brainer lol… the most clever idea and best part of the is build is the lever to flip the wheels…Great job Lego

Fantastic overall

Very well designed and engineered set. It is solid and was lots of fun to build. The light up flux capacitor made me giddy. Being able to choose which version to build is a real treat. I could go on and on about how much I love this set but that's boring so here are the downfalls. As many people have pointed out the doors don't stay open. I'm not sure how that passes quality control. Lego should have included extra pieces so that switching between versions is a snap. Haha! DeLoreans are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is metallic and shiny. Lego makes shiny metallic pieces. Many are included in this set. So why is it light gray?!
I would recommend this to a friend!
