Although this is fun to own, its building was truly frustrating to complete because there were a few missing blocks in a couple of bags :/

The set looks spectacular, and the building experience is addictive. The only negative point I would make is that the doors don't stay open on their own, which, to me, is the perfect way to show it off.

Look at this thing sideways or breathe on it wrong and it just disintegrates. The opposite of a relaxing or fun build. Eventually gave up because it was more frustrating than enjoyable.

This build was exceptionally fun and rewarding! I love that the builder has the option to select which Time Machine to build with all three movies available. I wish there was an option to switch between the movies but some of the parts required for all three builds and there were no extra pieces offered. Overall, the format of the set and the design of the car was one of my favorite builds ever! Would highly recommend. The Easter eggs were a bonus too!

Sometimes an entire page is devoted to placing a piece, but the view shown is on the opposite side of the car. The arrows point behind the build, but that side isn’t pictured. If there’s a whole page for the step, why not show the correct side?

Without a 3D option in the LEGO Builder app for this set, it can get frustrating. For example, the right door step looks out of sync—it shows the door being placed in the middle of the car with build progress that doesn’t match, like it jumped back several pages.
Box style:
I know I’m not alone in this ongoing gripe: can we please bring back the shoebox-style boxes for large sets? The cereal-box style makes it a pain to store bags if you can’t finish in one sitting. Part of the stress relief is being able to pause without re-packing everything.

Overall, it’s a fantastic set, just a couple of tweaks would really improve the build experience.

Timeless display piece

I’ve been building Lego since I was about 7 years old. This set is one of the best I’ve ever built, with incredible attention to detail. I grew up loving back to the future and knew this had to be a part of my collection the minute I saw it. I’ve had it for going on two years now, and it still has the main show spot on my shelf. Absolutely recommend!
