amazing engineering

Lots of fun - really one person needs to work at each step, but we did this one collectively with different people taking turns at each step. Very fun! amazing technical setup. The build steps were great- 30-45 mins for each step - complicated but with attention you could follow them accurately

This is a terrific set. I really enjoyed the details; the folding wheels so it can fly, the flux capacitor that lights up, the gull wing doors, and all the other visual details. Also you can build it to look like the car from any of the 3 movies. It’s only missing one element that would have made this perfect, a little sticker for the 88mph display on top of the dash board. There’s a photo of it in the movie car on the instruction manual, but that element is missing from the model. Doesn’t stop me from saying this is one of my favorite Lego model.

Awesome and worth it and BTtF fan

I’ve been waiting for this kit for a long time and picked it up over the Christmas holidays. The car is awesome and I forgot it had the hover wheels mode. The illuminated flux capacitor is awesome. The build was great except for a few steps where the car seems fragile for thing to click into place. I went with the back to the future 2 version and this is where I have a few issues. In the sequel future version, when the wheels are in hover mode and supported by the clear blocks. The nose of the car has a little flex to it. Like it could use a few bricks to tie it into the rest of the car a little better. It’s it’s not loose but I can see the flex by the windshield when lifting it off the clear blocks. If it could be improved, I was it came with more bricks and parts to make it interchangeable between movie versions more easily. Once you build one version, you need to disassemble the car and ride bricks to make other versions. Mostly the tires, the hood for BTTF 3, some bricks for the base of Mr.Fusion vs the first movies fan. Otherwise it’s awesome.

The attention to detail is amazing! I love the little hoverboard and the plutonium box! The light up flux capacitor is so unique! To hold the door open you guys can just get a stick.

I built one, for each of the three films. This review is regarding Back to the Future I. I placed each of the three kits, in a stackable display case (third-party - not LEGO) - see lower model in the photo. Lot’s of detail and features, true to the film. Great conversation piece!
