Would prefer options for the handle such as wood or cork. Other than that it’s a nice kettle. Good weight distribution, seems to heat evenly.

the actual kettle is great. Unfortunately, the thermometer is off by close to 10 degrees. Of course I can compensate now that I know, but if you are going to go to the trouble of including a thermometer you should go the extra distance to insure its accuracy. The thermometer was not even a consideration when I ordered the kettle, but now it has quickly become an annoyance.

My favorite kettle, now on the stovetop

I've had the Stagg EKG kettle for a while (the electric one), but I needed one that I could use on a propane burner, so I got this one too. It's still a fantastic kettle, and I appreciate the extra capacity as well as the analog thermometer (I just have an affinity to analog things sometimes). The only downside is that this one doesn't stop heating at a set temperature, which can be a drag when making tea, and it does have issues with the handle getting too hot to hold.
Overall, I love it, and I'm glad I got it. :)
