Better and worse than the previous model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was supposed to be an exact replacement for our 6 year old 29 cubic foot 3 door LG model that died over the July 4th weekend. The Good: We were able to eliminate the upper ice maker and door ice dispenser that we never used on the previous model. The bad thing about that is that we neglected to clean out the ice that formed in there and then sublimated. Eventually this led to a build up of calcium deposits that slowly leaked out when you used the water dispenser. This also gives us a lot more usable space inside the left door. The Bad: 1) The water dispenser area is ridiculously shallow. Probably 1/3 of the depth of our previous LG 3 door. One has to hold your hand over the opening of every glass because the water just splashes out all over the front of the refrigerator. 2) The color selections today are so limited - like just only black interiors for cars. Although our house and all of our kitchen appliances are only 6 years old, we could not get a basic black refrigerator to match, so we got the "black" stainless steel - which is basically charcoal in color. The kicker is that all the surfaces of this new refrigerator ARE black with the exception of the doors. It's like somebody is taunting us that you COULD make a black refrigerator for you - but we don't want to.

We chose this unit, bigger than we needed(29 cubic ft) and we're so glad we did, the extra capacity while not needed day to day is a blessing on weekends and holidays when entertaining friends and family. The Freezer is also very spacious, with a deep bin and storage shelf. The ice making bin holds ample amounts of ice for your needs.

Nice refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's almost a month since great delivery and setup. It took a few days of adjustments to get the cold food cabinet adjusted to the appropriate temperature, it's working great. The top cold cabinet is spacious and layed out well, door storage is more than adequate for our use. Freezer is big enough for a couple 20lb turkeys and a whole lot more. The ice maker works fine, it's summer right now and usage is high, haven't run low yet. The ice shape is like an old school ice tray, unique. The water on the door feature is better than expected, the pressure is good, it doesn't take long to fill a glass. It is quieter than anticipated via other reviews. The door finish is really good, easy clean and no fingerprints

Chill with this Fridge :)

So far it is a 5/5. Had to buy when previous fridge stopped working while on vacation. Also, was restricted in size due to space it needed to fit. Reviews were good also, and like the water on outside of door vs. inside like previous as it made a mess inside. Love the open door alarm, and rapid icemaking setting. Size is great, and even larger than previous due to efficient space design.
