Problems with ice maker

My refrigerator is just over a year old and the ice maker doesn’t work properly. Let me refrain that, at all. Very disappointed in this ice maker to say the least.

The refrigerator is roomy with easy access in all compartments. However,it fails to keep a consistent temperature. I even bought 2 new thermometers. The fridge is at 30° often, measured in various locations. The freezer is above zero, never reaching set temperature. My previous fridge was always at set temperatures of 38° fridge and -2° freezer.
The other issue I have is the water as it tastes terrible at times. We put in a new filter, following all instructions but it still fails and records high on a water TPS testing device.
