When I bought it I didn’t realize there wasn’t an ice dispenser on the door. After getting used to having to hand dip the ice I really don’t mind that extra step. So far I’m very pleased with the quality of the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new LG French door refrigerator was installed about 3 weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with it. Fantastic looks, roomy storage in both the refrigerator and freezer, and easy access digital temperature controls. Especially like the well designed and roomy door shelves for tall bottle storage and wide internal shelves for platters etc. Also like the in freezer ice maker that produces a large amount of ice, and unlike most in door ice refrigerators takes no room out of the refrigerator and will not cause ice jambs etc through the dispenser.

It has an additional 3 sq.ft more than our previous fridge even though it is the same external dimensions. The only negative is that the water from the dispenser tastes more like tap water than our old LG. The water filter is significantly smaller in this model and may be the reason. Our old model was better than bottled water. Not a huge deal but it would be great if the filter technology was improved. Freezer is great, love the slim water dispenser, overall a great fridge, so far.
