The smaller top one is perfect for the ice bucket and items we use frequently like ice cream, butter, etc. The bottom deeper one works well for longer term storage like packages of meats, bags of veggies and leftovers.

Miss not having a 2 ice makers but couldn’t beat the price. First jon-white appliance I’ve had. Black stainless steel is sharp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigirator replaced a similar LG unit which had the icemaker in the door. This replacement has the icemaker in the freezer. What a difference that makes. The storage space is enormous now. The only down side is the water dispenser on the door - it is very easy to accidentally hit the dispense lever and make a wet mess.
