Questioning the purchase of this fridge.

Fridge is 14 months old. Posted the ECH fault code yesterday - High Side Refrigerant Leak. Not a DIY repair. Appliance medics are three days out. It’s two months out of warranty, of course. Otherwise, this isn’t a bad unit I’m just questioning the reliability now.
I bought this back in february, and the water dispenser stopped working about 3 months later. we had everything replaced by the LG repairman and it worked for about a week. just recently had it repaired again and it already has stopped working.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wonderful refrigerator which is the perfect size and accommodates all of our food placement needs. Ample space, and easy storage. The water dispenser is a gem and I love the fact that I don’t have to buy bottled water anymore..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in July of 2023, and while it worked fine up to a point, at around 8 month, the fan broke down, and it is going on the 4th week now, and it is still waiting for a part to fix it. If this is the current quality of this product, then I likely will not purchase one again.

Love this LG French Door refrigerator, from the interior space to the LED lighting. It is very well designed, and works great. We have had it almost three years now with no issues. This is our second one - first one we had at our last home for nine years, with no problems, left it for the new owners, as it was a long distance move. Would recommend!
This refrigerator has never been at the right temperature. LG sent a tech when it was new and he said that new refrigerators aren't as cold as the old ones. He said we had to live with it.
It was set as 38 degrees and it was running at 7 to 9 degrees higher.
We recently complained because food is spoiling. We set it at 33 degrees, the lowest setting. It never got below 42 degrees. After a repair it went down to 40 to 42.
We are very unhappy with this refrigerator. The slim style water dispenser is great. The temperature is not satisfactory.

Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG LRFWS2906S refrigerator. We understand your frustration with the ongoing temperature control issues, which have led to food spoilage despite multiple service visits and adjustments.
One potential troubleshooting step you could try is to reset the refrigerator's control board. This can sometimes resolve issues caused by software glitches or electrical faults. To reset the control board: Unplug the refrigerator from the power source for at least 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to run for 24 hours to stabilize.
Please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport with your model number, purchase details, and a summary of the issues you have encountered. Our team will thoroughly investigate this matter and explore potential resolution options, including a replacement unit if necessary, to ensure your complete satisfaction. We appreciate your patience and understanding. —Renzo
