Great Product

I have had the previous generation Instinct Solar watch for over 2 years and can say that it has blow my expectations out of the water. I use it at work as a smart watch, getting notifications discretely while on the go, in meetings, or when I have gloves on handling samples. I use it when mountain biking to track my stats and on the indoor bike in the winter to make sure im hitting heart rate thresholds for training. In the summertime i can get a few rides in without needing to charge it. On river trips it charges itself to full. Will be getting this Instinct 2 if mine ever poops out (I doubt it will)!

Love this watch. Small learning curve on the UI and buttons, but it's a pretty smooth and intuitive piece of hardware. Super rugged, battery life is as insane as advertised.
I've used it for runs, resort skiing, backcountry skiing, weight lifting, and climbing. Not all the activity pre-sets are amazing, but the GPS is solid.
My only concern is this: the compass was incorrect a few times in the first few weeks I owned it, and I probably calibrated it like 4-5 times in that period, which always immediately fixed the problem. Now it seems to always be correct if I compare to other sources/I'm in a place I know, so it may just have taken a few calibrations? Not sure-- but it doesn't inspire confidence. If this problem doesn't pop up again I think it makes this watch a 10

Best watch ever

I never take this watch off. I charge it once a month for a few hours and it's good to go for another month. INCREDIBLE. Apple which shmaple watch I'll never go back. The health tracking on this is amazing and the iPhone integration is great.

GPS doesn't track well

About 5 weeks ago my Garmin indicated I was running under 7 minute miles (I run 9-11 minute miles), then it said I was running 14 minute miles - arg!! I tried downloading the latest update. Still doesn't track well. Dang, pretty expensive timing device.

Long Battery Life

I've had this watch for a just short of a month and the battery is awesome. The watch fits better than my Vivoactive did. Not happy with visibility of the text on the screen, hard to see. Don't like that to get my sleep information to show I have to wait until well after my set wake time and then still have to sync numerous times. Never had this issue with my old watch. I would not buy again because of the visibility issues.

Simple to Use

I purchased my Instinct 2 for Christmas, and once I got the watch, I fell in love. With solar charging and the ability for no plug in charge for 20 + days, makes this watch incredible. And with the different sport activities tracker, makes the purchase of this watch a no brainer
