Great Watch!

This is a great watch! Combined with the Garmin Connect App, it has challenged me to be a lot more active. I primarily use this watch for tracking health, workouts, and hunting.
I like the sleep tracking feature that quantifies a normally subjective experience. Battery life is also good. I usually get 12 days on a full charge plus whatever is regained from solar charging.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the price is pretty steep for the simplicity of the screen display. Also, other brands provide very similar features for a fraction of the price.
There is a slight learning curve to setup your favorite apps and features, but over time as you play around with the settings it gets easier.

Great features without being overbearing and lost in the weeds. I like how straight forward you can make the layout and get rid of the fluff you do not want to look at. Great for health & fitness tracking.

Really Great for Training
on March 12, 2023

This watch has all the great things that Garmin offers. The added bonus of the solar charging is great insurance when you are out on a run, that your watch won't die on you while you are training.

Amazing Watch
on March 6, 2023

Absolutely love this watch and all its capabilities. Ski tracking has been a huge hit so far, only downside is having to start/stop it for each run which can become annoying taking off mittens to get to it on cold days. I'm known for whacking my watches off of everything just walking around and I'm proud to say it has not taken a single scratch yet (not because I'm being any more careful). My only skeptical thought is in regard to its solar capabilities. It does track solar intensity, but I have not noticed any impact on the battery when out in the sun. I'm thinking this may just be the northern winter sun and hoping to see an improvement come summer. Regardless this is not a huge downside as the battery life is incredible on its own. Definitely a great watch for anyone looking for a rugged smartwatch they can put through the wringer.

Better Than Expected

This watch is every bit as rugged as described and then some. I'm pretty rough on gear and finding a watch that could stand up to the abuse that comes with my line of work was a challenge. The functionality and UI aren't overly complex or flashy, which I appreciate. The battery lasts forever too. If you're looking for a bulletproof smartwatch that won't overwhelm you with it's complexity, this is the one for you.

Reliable workout watch

Watch works well and monitors everything I need for my time outdoors! I lost my original Instinct watch on a fire so I got this as a replacement. It definitely lasts a little longer with the solar power - I'd say the first instinct I had to charge about every 7-10 days. This one sometimes lasts me till the end of a fire roll, about 14-19 days depending on usage. If I don't record any activities, even longer. It's great and just what I need!

Great Everyday + Adventure watch

Easily customizable, all health metrics appear to be accurate in comparison to medical grade devices (spO2, heart rate), and the solar feature is a nice touch to add some extra days worth of charge during backcountry trips. It's definitely a beginner-friendly watch/fitness tracker, but has plenty of specific features for a pro. That being said, there are definitely other more generalist, beginner-friendly fitness tracker models that come in at lower costs if you're not looking for something that'll hold up to rugged, backcountry trips

Battery Life
on February 14, 2023

EXCELLENT battery life, don't have to charge it every 5-10 days and the solar extends the 28 days even longer. Instinct has all of the features I wanted for a reasonable price. I also like the changeable face features. I was able to find one on the watch and didn't need to download anything from Garmin Connect. I previously had a Fenix 5 and I definitely like the updated features (better sleep tracking, and more indepth data)
