I've been using the Instinct Solar for about 2 years, including a rotation to Korea. I wear it every day, and it does a fantastic job holding a charge, and keeping track of all my activities. Its GPS is very accurate and reliable - however it is easily opened if you're wearing any kind of glove that uses a Velcro closure (keep that in mind!). Overall, I would recommend this for any beginner or veteran of the outdoors. I plan to continue using mine for a hot minute.

Great technical support

Just got the Instinct 2 Solar watch and neither I or my wife are techies! So we got connected to Parrish who help us set up the watch and pair it with my phone. He was knowledgeable, patient and flexible with our calls. My wife has a Vecu SQ and loved it so I decided to get a Garmin watch for me. Once set up and review with Parrish on buttons and how to access various options it is proving easy to use so think I will really be pleased with this purchase. Parrish also sent me information via emails on how to use and access ways to enable even more options so we can add in the future if I so choose. Highly recommend Garmin and again a great thanks to Parrish.

Love it - has worked flawlessly for nearly a year

Have had this for nearly a year now and it has worked flawlessly the entire time. I got this mainly for the heartrate/gps tracking features for running and training for big mountaineering projects and has worked exactly as I hoped. Not super fancy but the display in intuitive and easy to read and does everything I need it to.
I wear this every day and have put in through the ringer, including in wet and very cold temps and never had a problem. I think I had to reconnect it once to the Garmin app, but otherwise I have never had problems with it syncing.
Super solid, does everything I need for tracking training, workouts, hikes, and climbs. Would 100% buy again!

I love the solar recharge feature. After initial setup programming of the watch is difficult and the app is also difficult.

garmin provides the best service of any company I've ever dealt with.
