I've been using the Instinct 2 solar for several months. It's the best fitness device I've used yet. It's great for tracking my health stats, and has great navigation to read out data on the watch face. I haven't explored all the features yet, but the tracking for hikes works well. It constantly nags me to get better sleep, but the on-line Garmin Connect app says my biological age is 15 years younger than my calendar age, so maybe it doesn't realize I'm old. I can't wait for spring bicycling season, so I can see if my scores improve.

Great for Training

My brother-in-law sang the praises of his Garmin Instinct 2 Solar and suggested I might consider it to help me train for an upcoming through hike later this summer. I've found it has most if not all the features I was looking for, for training and tracking heartrate and my workouts. It's very user friendly and comfortable.

This is my third garmin watch in the past 12 years and I appreciate the operational simplicity and ability to customize screens and activities. I'm not sure how well the solar function works, as it's February in Western Washington. I'm optimistic for the months when we do get sunshine, though.

Awesome EDC watch/tool

I have purchased several brands of smartwatches for myself and my wife. The only smartwatches I have now are my Fenix 3HR and my new Instinct 2 Solar. Garmin is the only way to go for any use of a smartwatch. My Fenix 3HR is still running strong, but I prefer the size and feature set of the Instinct 2 Solar. Batter life is amazing, processing speed is plenty fast and the use learner curve is low. OEM wrist band is very comfortable. Best purchase I've made in a while! Thank you Garmin.

This watch seems to have checked all the boxes so far, I purchased it for Triathlon purposes, alongside an HRM ( also from Garmin). It is a robust unit, relatively cheap, and without all the things I don't consider relevant for the purpose, such as a touch screen and more "smartwatch" like features.

I got it for my Birthday in August 2023. I never take it off, besides charging. I have only had to charge it maybe 6 times in 6 months. Great Sleep data and fitness data.
