Exactly what I needed

My wife bought me this for Christmas. I quit wearing watches once I retired and figured I'd never use a watch. But I was wrong. This has all sorts of features I use all the time. I track my steps because my insurance gives me rebates based on that. This counts steps automatically. I love having a compass, and I use the altitude measurement and graphs just because it interests me. Same with barometric pressure. When kayaking its nice to know if a storm is coming. The hiking with gps is awesome for not losing your way on unfamiliar trails or finding your car in a large parking lot. Getting my text and call notifications on my wrist is great since often my phone volume is off and I don't hear it ringing. I also use it for scheduling notifications (setting with google assistant). Temp and weather is also a feature I use every day. I could go on, but you get the idea. There are many other features I have yet to use... like golfing interface and kayak trip tracking. Oh, alarms are also useful!

Pretty Neat

Has nice features. Seems to do a pretty decent job of measuring activities. I've used it for CrossFit, running and hiking. I do find it pretty impressive for exercise.

I'd buy again
garmin provides the best service of any company I've ever dealt with.
their technicians have unlimited patience. I buy garmin because of them. the product is acceptable.

I love the solar recharge feature. After initial setup programming of the watch is difficult and the app is also difficult.

Great technical support

Just got the Instinct 2 Solar watch and neither I or my wife are techies! So we got connected to Parrish who help us set up the watch and pair it with my phone. He was knowledgeable, patient and flexible with our calls. My wife has a Vecu SQ and loved it so I decided to get a Garmin watch for me. Once set up and review with Parrish on buttons and how to access various options it is proving easy to use so think I will really be pleased with this purchase. Parrish also sent me information via emails on how to use and access ways to enable even more options so we can add in the future if I so choose. Highly recommend Garmin and again a great thanks to Parrish.
