Love this thing so far

Loving the fit and feel of this watch so far, also got a 945 but go to this one more often. Been wearing for 3 weeks now with phone connection and still hovering at 50% power! Can’t wait to give it a go in the backcountry.

Great but solar isn’t worth it

Everything with the watch is great except I wouldn’t waste the extra money on the solar charging. I’ve been outside all day for multiple days and the most it charges is 2%. This isn’t a solar charging watch.

Top Notch Watch!

Bought this watch as an alternative to my Apple Watch 8. I was tired of charging it everyday and also wanted more in-depth features for tracking my runs and workouts. Batter life is every bit of 28-30days as advertised. I did get the solar which helps recharge a bit after GPS use on workouts. The Garmin app syncs with the watch and provides great detail on workouts, health, recovery and sleep. Watch fits great, light and strap is very comfortable. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase and would recommend 100%.

Great watch but…

Great watch, Garmin always does a great job. However I do wish they made straps of varying lengths. As of now there is only one standard length. Doesn’t do much good for folks with larger wrists or smaller wrists.

Good watch with lots of features

I have been using this watch for a couple weeks now, and like how quickly it connects to satellites for tracking. The sleep reports and other health metrics are nice too. The battery lasts a long time and charges when it is in full sun.

Best bang for the buck!

If you just want a simple way to record your workouts/climbs/races/etc. and don’t care about all the fancy bells and whistles… this is the unit to get. It’s super rugged, has all the latest functionality of the top end units, and an Uber-simple watch face. Not to mention the battery time is the best you can get - for less than half of the top end models. It wasn’t a money thing for me, as I am willing to pay for the best gear… but the complete functionality, battery time and ruggeddness sewed it up. If you don’t use maps on your wrist, there isn’t any reason to have more than this…. Unless you just like the fancy lights and colors.
