Not as good as I was expected.

If you are using it for regular purposes like running, hiking, or swimming it is pretty good.
But I am using it for the SleepAsAndroid app either which is using heart bit, breathing, and pulse Ox sensors all night. For this purpose, the battery is barely enough.
The solar charging feature looks like just a feature and nothing more.
But there are excellent sensors and excellent apps for tracking any kind of your activity.

Maybe later, Garmin will be able to create a built-in battery in Band for working time prolongation.

I was wanting a watch I didn't have to charge every 1 or 2 days, this is an Impressive watch. Was a bit reluctant to purchase at first but its packed with features, bit of a learning curve if you are used to swipe and tap smarts. The wristband could have been a bit longer, but overall Im very pleased with it.

I've used the gps to track speed and mileage on water. It has been a great watch for.the applications I will be using. I especially like it holding a charge for up to 2 weeks!

The Instinct Solar is amazing, outstanding 'time between charges' with the solar feature, even with GPS based fitness tracking we're seeing only 1 quick charge per week. The data provided is amazing, literally like having a team of health practitioners monitoring your health and workout metrics 24/7--Pulse Ox, HRV, VO2, Breaths per min, Sleep monitoring, heart rate metrics etc etc. Amazing versatility when it comes to activity specific tracking including full GPS that's viewable on the watch, your smartphone or computer via Garmins portal. Great integrations also, to other Garmin devices like power meter pedals or even the Garmin smart scale (also highly recommend). I love this watch! Literally the only complaint I can throw at it is that when wearing polarized sunglasses the face is a little hard to read. We now have both a 2 and a 2S--the "S" is the smaller face and is more size appropriate for people with small wrists or want a slightly more petite watch presence. Water proof, sweat friendly and seems to take a beating with out any damage, I wear mine 24/7 except when it's off for a charge, I tend to even wear it in the shower. 5/5 all the way!

I've had it for almost a year now and it is still perfect. I wear it camping, backpacking and for everyday use. It holds a charge well and shows no sign of wear & tear despite daily use.

I returned the Garmin and got a google pixel watch. So glad a did. Less expensive and it connects with my Android phone. Does everything my phone does and more. The Garmin was too expensive and much more complicated to use.

Indestructible Functionality

I have had the older version of this watch for several years, and this one seems to be just as tough with much better features. I have banged it on walls, dove, surfed, and flown with it, and have never experienced a failure. I highly recommend this watch to anyone with a tendency to unintentionally destroy their equipment.
