Love this watch! The size is great for tiny wrists. I still have many features / activities to try out but this watch is significantly more useful than my Apple Watch. The GPS is really accurate and the data the watch provides is so helpful for workouts / training (HR zone, aerobic / anaerobic effect, etc). With pulse Ox off and battery saver on at night I get around 21 days of battery.

It's wunnerful!

I have had my Garmin Instinct 2s Solar for five weeks. My son and grandson helped
me set the watch face up the way I wanted it. The instrument does everything I hoped it
would do and a lot more.
The tutorial videos are very helpful and I refer to them for set up and review. My Instinct 2s also looks great and I get many compliments on it.

Good but not great

Garmin is my preferred activity tracker since it's what they're best at. I bought this watch because of the battery life and the solar charging option. The first few days that I had the watch, the battery life was consistently 20+ days. By the end of the first week, the battery life went down to 4-5 days and hasn't increased since, even though it isn't connected to my smart phone or receiving notifications from any device. I tried all of the troubleshooting options but nothing is resolved. I'll be backpacking for the next six months and bought this specifically because of the battery life. So far, meh.

I love the smaller size watch face since I have a small wrist. I love the solar charging. This watch does everything I need it to do!

Great except for one small thing...

And by small thing, I mean the text on the watch! I got this for myself for a 40th bday present and man, does it make me feel 40! If you don't have 20/20 vision you may struggle to see some (not all) of the text/numbers on this watch face. Otherwise, I absolutely love it!

Solar Power Rocks

I chose the Instinct 2s solar predominantly because I work outdoors in the sunny Southwest. Seeing the solar graph being generated while on a nice sunny hike really made me happy. I find the tracking to be accurate and the watch to have all the capabilities I’d want. I do wish that I would’ve purchased the full-sized watch instead of the smaller “s” version. I do have small wrists, but I also have aging eyes, and I think the bigger screen would be welcomed.

This latest Garmin Instinct watch is a teriffic upgrade from the first original version!
And like the first Instinct watch, I love the fact that while running the music controls face DOESN'T disappear after a few seconds and that I'm able control my music (i.e. the next song] without bringing the music page back up, etc.

Perfect size & features

I rocked the previous edition Instinct Solar for over a year and absolutely loved it. My only drawback was its size having a smaller wrist. Switching to the 2S, the watch just feels so much more comfortable and fits me better. I was already use to the interface and app which I love.
