The watch is great if you're are looking for just your basic functionality like time running ext. But the more independent stuff like sleep tracking and the solar charge is not the best.

If you want a waterproof watch, don't get this one

This watch is fine for outdoor activities that don't involve water. I've had my 5th replacement 3 regular insticts and now my second surf version. It's safe to say both the ocean and swimming pool will break this watch. Also the clunky design is horrible for paddling as it limits the wrist movement.

worst watch ever

now into my 3rd replacement of this watch, first two were battery issues where it would not hold a charge, both times lasted less than 12 months, now it constantly scolls through the menu, as if the buttons are stuck. These are the mechanical issues, as for functionality,
for a surf watch it does not track tides as advertised, you have to constantly re-connect to the app to get the tide data, waste of time
Surf tracking is highly inaccurate waste of time dont use it
Golf App is buggy and rarely works - dont use it
Swim app doesnt alway track correctly

This watch is so comfortable to wear. I love the features and am still learning all the options. Love the durability and how waterproof it is too. The fitness/workout tracking is amazing.

Great features which didn't work

Tides feature stopped working after a little while. Resetting the watch, updating the firmware and Connect app didn't work and I am unable to get the tide data. This especially bad, as this is what this watch's main feature is. No recommendations from Garmin forums helped, as my watch doesn't have the menus described.
