Perfect chest freezer

We really love the freezer. It fits perfectly. The only thing we were disappointed with it didn’t have wheels. Otherwise it is perfect.

Temperature issues

Unit looks good, but may not cool like it should. I wanted to set the temperature to zero degrees F and had to turn the dial all the way to the end to obtain that temperature[0 degrees F]. Is that normal or to be expected. Setting it to the recommended setting in the manual, the temperature was about 10-15 degrees.

Yes, it can be normal to have to adjust the control to the coldest setting. This is due to the temperature around the freezer and it can vary depending on location.

We purchased a GE freezer because we currently have one, but half the size. We needed a larger one and prefer chest freezers for storage capacity and energy efficiency. This new one has a light that activates when the door is opened. It only has two narrow baskets for the top, but that's ok. Any more, and you'd have to move them around to get to the main compartment items.
I would recommend this to a friend!
