Did not protect like it should have

I bought this case after I dropped my phone and the back shattered. I figured it was because I had a cheap case on it. However, the exact same thing happened again last week, and the back, again, shattered. The case is also turning yellow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Useless

I dropped my phone and this case did NOTHING to protect it. The whole back of my phone shattered. Absolutely will not purchase again.

Zero Protection

I've been a fan of the Symmetry series for years. I'm new to iPhones, and this was my first Symmetry for an iPhone. Phone was knocked off a 4' table, and the back shattered. The raised surface of the cameras was cracked and chipped despite the raised edges of the case. Zero protection...what a waste of money!!!

One drop from knee height and back of phone smashed. Not impressed.

Oh no! We're so sorry to hear about this, Adam. We know that can be a frustrating experience. Though our cases are tough, there are some variables that can't be accounted for. We're happy to send a new OtterBox under our product warranty, but we are unable to extend our warranty to the device itself, as we are not the manufacturer. Case discolors way too quickly, only had for a couple months and the edges are black.

There are actually a few factors that can potentially cause something like this, but our Otter engineers work hard to keep such cosmetic complications at bay. clear case turned yellow after using it about 2 mo. The case buttons parts are just plastic finish so the consistent friction will cause some damage to the surface of phone's volume and power buttons.
