MagSafe?

Just received this case with a custom print from Zazzle for work needs. All-in-all the case and the print job are solid, but this is advertised as MagSafe, yet it will NOT work with my MagSafe car charger. There is zero magnetism to the case. Quite frustrated as I waited months for this to be in stock so I could have the custom print done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very sorry to hear of the confusion prior to purchase. While the Commuter Series case does allow for a charge to pass from the MagSafe charger through to the iPhone 13 Pro, as you've discovered, it does not facilitate a magnetic seal.

Nice case, but blocks magnetic charger

I love the case but unfortunately it does NOT work with the Apple magnetic charging puck I’ve been using;- in either a vertical stand I had bought or even just flat on a table. Pretty disappointed in that since advertising specifically says that it does.

Hey there Matt! We're sorry to hear about the confusion. While our Commuter Series cases are compatible with wireless charging, they are not MagSafe. This means that they may not work as well with MagSafe accessories, because the case itself does not have any magnets built in.

I love Otterbox, however when I bought this case I was overall disappointed that wireless charging is practically nonexistent. I missed my alarm for work because my phone died. It might connect for charging but through out the night the connectivity will disconnect. The case would have been perfect if it supported wireless charging.

Oh no! We are so sorry to hear of your waking-for-work woes, and we're honestly surprised to hear that you had such trouble. Was the Commuter Series Case initially connecting to your wireless base? There's no reason that it should have disconnected once it was synched up. Could your device/case combo possibly have been bumped off-kilter a bit somehow?
In an effort to avoid such things down the road, it might be worth considering making a shift to Apple's MagSafe charger since your iPhone 13 Pro supports that functionality. You would definitely need a different model case that was specifically made for use with MagSafe, but then you'd have the peace of mind that things will be locked in for a night of charging.

Doesn’t work with MagSafe battery pack

I love this case but the magnet on the MagSafe battery pack doesn’t work through the case. Which is a major disappointment and design flaw. As someone who often needs extra power on the go, this basically renders the case useless
