This is my fourth Otterbox Commuter Case! The first was for an Android Phone. The other three have been for Apple phones! I like the way it installs and the “rubbery” side grips.
The Apple phones are so slim (good thing) and smooth that i feel uncomfortable grabbing the phone for fear of loosing it out of my hands. With the Commuter Case, I can confidently “grab” my phone with no worries about dropping it.

I was being dumb and left my phone on my parents car. They drove away and my phone flew off of the car into a ditch and my phone is perfectly fine!!!

Hard Shell Cracks

I'm on my second Commuter case. Outer shell cracked around camera opening when it got dropped and I replaced the case, It happened again a few months later (I know, the solution is not to drop it) and both tims, the case protected the phone but suffered itself.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
