I bought this case for my dad after a cheap, thin case disintegrated when he dropped his phone. He likes it even though it is more bulky since he knows he won't have to worry about what might happen if he drops his phone again.

This case is the second commuter I have purchased so overall I do like it. I knocked two stars off for two reasons. 1) the outer shell slips on surfaces so I wish that it had more grip like the inner part. 2) the two blues in bespoke do not have enough contrast to make it pop.

Had a commuter on my iPhone 4S that kept that phone alive until my upgrade to an 8. So many drops & never a problem. The hard portion of the case would slowly break as time and more drops went by. You can't go wrong with this item.

The case is strong, sturdy and durable. However, the hole on the back of the case for the apple logo is unnecessary and presents an opening for dirt to build up. The charging port protector is a nice addition but makes it difficult to charge when only using one hand. Lastly, the case is difficult to put on and take off the phone. Overall, it is a great case, but it does have some flaws.
