Does not stand up with the pop socket open

I bought this as soon as I ordered my new iPhone 13 Pro Max. My old phone, an iPhone 11, had a pop socket that I installed on my otterbox phone case, which I loved. So when I saw that I could buy both as one piece I was sold. Well it arrived today and it sucks. The case is extremely difficult to put on and take off and the pop socket won’t support my phone when it’s opened and I try to place it on a hard flat surface. The quality of his case feels subpar compared to the previous otterbox I owned as well as all of the ones I’ve seen friends and family use now and in the past. This one will be returned. I’m extremely disappointed. For the pros - it does extend out around the camera, so it seems like that would offer more protection and I love the color.

The good news is, we have a helpful tip for easier installation of that OtterBox. We recommend installing the case on the right corner first. Once your camera and power buttons are in the case, move clockwise, and insert the bottom right corner of the phone into the corresponding corner of the case, so that the right side of the phone is installed in your OtterBox. After, apply pressure to the bottom left corner then the top left corner. To remove the case, simply do these steps in reverse! While using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface and recommend placing something under the PopSocket to ensure the correct viewing angle is achieved. Can’t Wireless Charge

Case is cool but I have bought 4 different wireless chargers all saying from 5mm to 8mm can charge and none of them can. My truck charges is wirelessly but other than that don’t buy if you want to wirelessly charge at night. No one makes one that works.

That's so strange that you've had such trouble keeping your iPhone amped up wireless on all those different chargers except the one in your truck. Have you been removing the PopTop prior to setting your Apple/Otter combo on any given base? That can sometimes help. Also (not sure if this has already been in play or not), we generally suggest going with a charger recommended by Apple or checking our very own OtterSpot Wireless Charging System.

Good protection but for some reason my phone falls over when I use the pop socket and try to prop my phone up horizontal. This hasn’t happened with my other iPhone models and my OtterBoxes with pop sockets. This is disappointing to me.

We're sorry to hear you've had some trouble using your most recent Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case as a stand. For propping up some of the more sizable devices, including your iPhone 13 Pro Max, PopSockets recommends expanding and then tilting or “kinking” the PopTop to one side for a more stable experience. In addition, it will be helpful to have the heavier camera side of the device be closer to the surface that you’re placing it on to avoid things getting a bit top-heavy.

Sorry I spent so much money on a case. I rely on the cell’s GPS for travel. The built-in pop socket looked like it would be more flush to the back of the case when closed, therefore making it easier when placed into my car mount. My cell is in my hand constantly, so I need a comfortable grip. Unfortunately, I didn’t know how uncomfortable the built-in pop socket would feel to hold. A significant functional fail. For reference, I’m a person of a very petite build. IMO changing the look of the pop socket is a gimmick. I do not recommend this over priced case.

Would not recommend

For the price I paid this case it’s not worth it. The pop socket doesn’t hold my phone up to watch videos. When we were at Disneyland my daughter accidentally dropped my phone and now the entire back is shattered. Very disappointed.
