Wireless charging… I don’t think so.

I bought this for my iPhone 13 pro max ONLY because it said it was wireless charging compatible. I have a wireless charger and a MagSafe batter pack from apple and neither of them work with the case on such is so utterly disappointing and frustrating. It says you might have to take the popsocket off and I did and it still didn’t work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear you've had such a frustrating experience with the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case. Although this particular model has been tested and confirmed compatible with Qi wireless technology, results can vary depending on what base is being used even when the PopTop is removed.
In addition, this case was not engineered to accommodate Apple's MagSafe ecosystem. We do make a number of different cases specifically for use with MagSafe, however, none of those have the integrated PopSockets component. Doesn't charge on wireless charger

I even got a PopPower and it doesn't work with this case. Is the case too thick? The only way I can charge with the case on is by plugging it in. This needs to be thick because other than that it is a nice product. I am going to buy a different case and this one will go in the drawer along with the PopPower.

Thanks for the heads-up on the wireless woes you've had with the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case and that PowerPop Charger. Have you tried removing the PopTop to see if that makes a difference? Since we don't have a ton of insight into the PowerPop charger, we'd definitely recommend that you touch base with PopSockets via their live chat to see if they know a quick fix on this!

Can I give ZERO stars?

I bought this for a built in popsocket because that is an awesome idea! But thats all this should have stayed at, an idea. The popsocket does not hold my phone up unless I take time to balance it, then it falls over with any movement of the table or phone and the WORST part, less than 3 months later the back of my BRAND NEW phone is shattered. I have NEVER had this problem with Otterbox with any phone I have had a case on. I am SO disappointed.

We do suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out and angling it to the left or right to prop up your device. Though our products are designed to withstand a lot, they aren't 100% infallible. Not as protective as you’d think

I bought this thinking it would be a safe case for my phone. I’ve kept this case on my phone since the day I bought my phone. My phone got dropped and the back of my phone is shattered. This is the only case I’ve ever used and it has stayed on it consistently. The inside of the case protrudes out where the pop socket is and that’s what has caused my phone to shatter.

I had this same case for my iPhone 11 Pro Max. It was the best case ever. I ordered a new one for my iPhone 13 max pro and it is not made out of the same materials - it’s not horrible, just not as good. It does not feel as protective. The pop socket will not hold the phone up to watch in landscape mode either- it falls down every time. So while it is not a bad case I expected more considering the price of the case.

The difference in material that you're keying in on is actually likely due to the antimicrobial additive that's integrated with this particular unit, as that will give it a slightly different feel.
Regarding the Popsockets struggles, for propping up some of the more sizable devices, we recommend expanding and then tilting or “kinking” the PopTop to one side for a more stable experience. In addition, it will be helpful to have the heavier camera side of the device be closer to the surface that you’re placing it on to avoid things getting a bit top-heavy.

GO W REGULAR OTTER BOX CASE.POP SOCKET IS USELESS!

Ive had this for about a month now. Doesnt really serve any purpose besides something to hold on while carrying. The phone is still too big to be able to have one hand on the phone so the pop socket serves no purpose. Also, the pop socket wont hold your phone to have it propped up on a table. I did drop it once and nothing happened to the screen of my phone so the otterbox itself is good but the otterbox+ pop socket is just terrible for this big phone. If I could return it, I would. GO WITH THE REGULAR OTTER BOX CASE!

I was worried about the pop socket stand as well, like other reviews. The truth is, it does work, if you bend it a certain way. Not as convenient as the one for my Samsung Galaxy S20+, but it still works and offers some support. The colors could be a LOT better. I like the pink and grey color that my Samsung Otter + Pop case came in.
I haven’t dropped my phone in this case yet, but it seems kinda sturdy. Don’t like how the volume button side of the case pokes out a bit. But that’s just cosmetics.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sturdy case, but the pop socket can't hold it up.

I previously had this phone case for the iPhone 12 pro. I decided to upgrade my phone to the 13 pro max, and since I loved the case on my old phone; I decided to buy it again. However, be warned, the iPhone 13 pro max is heavy device, and because of such the pop socket cannot hold the phone up. No matter how I arrange it, and no matter how far back I pull it; the phone would just topple over on its back. My main reason for buying this case is the popsockets ability to be used as a stand, and for the extra security when holding your phone. However, as I stated before the stand ability doesn't work properly. If you are looking for case with a stand capability; I recommend you look elsewhere. However, if you want it for that extra security when holding your phone then this case is right for you. This case needs a heavy redesign if the company intends to market this case for Iphone pro max's.
