This is a two piece case. Hard rubber interior with soft rubber outter that wraps around entire case. The concept is great but the soft rubber case does not stay 100% on. I have to refit the soft rubber outter shell every few days

I miss the old commuter style. This one has weird ridges things on the back/rubber piece and I personally find it very uncomfortable to hold my phone with it but I obviously don’t want to spend more money on a case when this one costed a fair amount. It’s not horrible and seeks durable. I just hate hate the feeling Of it.

Back cover plastic broke off

My son had a Commuter case before and it lasted over 3 years. This one is about a 18 months old and a chunk of the back plastic broke off! Now the back of the phone is not completely covered, just the under covering part. The hard plastic is now very brittle and breaks easily. The iphone is no longer fully protected.

Ok, so I used to LOVE otterbox for my iPhone XR. It was snug, it protected my phone, it was great. For iPhone 13, I expected better. The shape of the iPhone 13 is different from the XR, but you’d think they’d make it better… nope. I have had nothing but problems with my case. From day one, it never fit right to my phone, now the case is showing the edges of my phone, popping my phone out of its case! Yes, it doesn’t fit the case what so ever! Very disappointed! I’ll have to order a new one from a different brand, this just isn’t right!

The case seems backwards; the rubbery part is against the phone, and the hard plastic is on the outside. The case is really smooth and slippery, and I’ve fumbled and dropped the phone several times because of it. I would not recommend this case.

Our standard Defender Series has a hard inner shell and an outer synthetic rubber slipcover, though it's a bit more robust than what you have in hand. We do also have another streamlined option called the Symmetry Series case that has a smooth backside with a more grippy edge all around the sides. I’ve bought two of the same case (I didn’t know about the warranty) and both have broken in the same place! The functionality of the case is ruined. I haven’t even had this case for a year. Super disappointed!

I’ve been buying the commuter series for quite some time. Not to bulky and not too slim and offers great protection for drops. Also the design and colors have improved for iPhone 12 and 13.
