This phone case was good at first, exactly as advertised but I’ve had it for maybe two months now and it’s turned yellow. GROSS. It’s not like I’m a farmer with my phone constantly in the dirt. Idk how it could’ve turned so quickly yucky

Dropped off a mountain

I legitimately dropped my phone while climbing a mountain. It bounced….. bounced…. and eventually landed on a ledge where I was able to miraculously retrieve it. I am writing this review with the same phone. I have a tiny screen crack where the phone camera is uncovered and made direct contact with rock and the rest is fine. Definitely a sturdy case.

Quality build. Only issue is that the size and weight of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the placement of the built in pop socket cause the phone to fall over when you try to stand the phone up on its own. Socket placement likely needs to be engineered

Not happy with the quality of pop stand

Otter box really dropped the ball with this case I’m having an issues with the pop stand as other shoppers mentioned it doesn’t hold the phone in landscape mode

Complete waste of money. Pop up part gets in the way of charging and serves no use whatsoever. It balances in such a way that the camera faces down and hits the table.

We appreciate your feedback about the recessed PopSocket, and we'll be sure to pass your thoughts up the ladder to our design team. While that case is compatible with Qi charging, we do suggest removing the PopTop to improve charging functionality. Additionally, we recommend OtterBox Power accessories for best wireless charging experience.
While using that OtterBox as a stand, we usually suggest pulling the PopTop all the way out then angling one side up. This allows you to use the side that's still popped out as the stand for your phone. Additionally, we recommend having the camera-side of your phone down and close to the stable surface and recommend placing something under the PopSocket to ensure the correct viewing angle is achieved.

This case in theory sounds great; however, it is pointless and a nuisance. In order to use the wireless charging stand (Belkin Boost 3-in-1) within my home and in my vehicle (Ford Expedition), I need to remove the case. Something that I should not have to do every time I wish to use this functionality of my phone. Otterbox is not helpful besides recommending to remove the pop socket - which does not resolve the issue at all! Stay clear of this case if you want to enjoy wireless charging.

Great case, needs magsafe charging to get 5 stars.

The iPhone 13 is a heavy phone and I felt that a popsocket on a case was absolutely necessary. However, it comes at the expense of magsafe wireless charging. It would be perfect if it had the magsafe connectivity for charging, by removing the popsocket from the back when charging.

DOES NOT WORK WITH WIRELESS CHARGING

I have the special pop-socket wireless charger (it's pricey, but worth it to not have to remove a pop-socket every time I charge)
This case DOES NOT work with it. It's too thick and it does not work with the iphone 13 pro max.
I used the same case on my iphone XS and the same popsocket charger and it worked, but the MagSafe feature on the iphone 13 pro max does not work with this case.
I am usually a massive fan of otterbox, but I'm extremely disappointed that this is explicitly misrepresented on the description and packaging. The case doesn't work with wireless charging so I will be returning.

Although the PopTop on the back of any particular case would fit into the "pothole" of this charger, the larger form-factor of the iPhone 13 Pro Max could potentially be what's impacting performance.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to guarantee compatibility between the PopPower charger and the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series case for iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro Max in terms of wireless charging.
