I like it, but...

I like the idea of a combo Otterbox/PopSocket case, because I trust the durability and protection of Otterbox and I like the holding ease of a PopSocket. That said, I've had this case for about a year and a half and it needs replacement due to cracks that have formed in multiple areas of the case. The first crack appeared from the PopSocket area itself around 5 months after I bought it; two more have appeared since then. It's unclear to me what stressor has caused this cracking. If it's simply the stress of clicking a new PopSocket in/out, then that's a design flaw. The other area that cracks have formed in my case are on the corners. An upper corner crack appeared after I took the case off then put it back on to clean off some debris that got between the phone and the case. The other cracks formed in a lower corner after the phone dropped a foot and a half from a side table. Now, all that said, my phone itself is NOT cracked, so the case has done its job in that regard. Just disappointing that cracks started forming after 5 months of use and have continued to form.

Can’t wireless charge

I had one for my XS max and I could wireless charge, bought another for my new 13 pro max, and I cannot wireless charge!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry to hear you're having some trouble keeping your new iPhone 13 Pro Max amped up wirelessly while using the Otter + Pop Symmetry Series Case. Although the case has been tested and confirmed compatible with standard Qi wireless technology, results may vary depending on what platform is being used. In addition, it may be necessary to remove the PopGrip component prior to charging. It's also worth noting that this specific case model does not support use with Apple's MagSafe accessories, including that charger.

Phone is too heavy to prop up.

I LOVE otter boxes and I especially love the ones with the built in pop-it socket. I got the new iPhone 13 pro max and immediately bought the case with the pop-it socket built in. I was so disappointed that the phone is too have to use the pop-it as a stand. It just falls over. So now I have to find a new case. I hope they fix this issue so I can go back to the case I love.

Awesome to know you're otherwise a big fan of the Otter/Pop collaboration, though we were sorry to hear that you've had some trouble using your current case as a stand.

For propping up some of the more sizable devices, PopSockets recommends expanding and then tilting or “kinking” the PopTop to one side for a more stable experience. In addition, it will be helpful to have the heavier camera side of the device be closer to the surface that you're placing it on to avoid things getting a bit top-heavy.

Solid Protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gives the kind of phone protection you've come to expect from Otterbox with the versatility and easy of use PopSocket offers, best of both worlds.
It fits great and is tactile enough that you have a confident grip and it feels tough while remaining as thin as it can. Also I like that it's clear and I can show off my phone color and not turn it right back into a black handheld brick. The PopSocket addition also really helps to make this large phone easier to handle for sure. Only cons would be that the screen lip is a bit shallow for a case with no additional screen protection and the PopSocket does lay pretty flat sometimes making it a bit difficult to pop out. Overall I think it is a great way to protect and use my phone.

Just upgraded my phone to the iPhone 13 pro max in white/silver. The phone looks super sharp snd sleek, but I definitely need a case on it. The tried and true case brand I always use is Otterbox. To show off the beautiful phone I picked up the Otter + Pop in clear. It’s a refreshing change from black phone cases. As expected, it is a solid construction phone case. Sturdy and feels good in the hands. The crystal clear back makes the white phone look great. Installation was super easy, and it snapped into place without a struggle or issues. Even gives the satisfying “snap” sound when the 4th corner pops in.
To prop the phone up on the pop grip, make sure the camera is on the bottom side since it’s heavy. You tilt the pop grip slightly, and your phone will stand up.
I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase. Highly recommend.

Don’t buy this if you want to use wireless charger

Even though it claims it can be used with a wireless charger you cannot. I purchased two of these, one for myself and one for my significant other. Even after removing the pop sockets (which is annoying to do each time) it still will not charge on multiple wireless charging pads.
