Quisinart replaced our first unit after it scorched our wood floor and damaged the polyurethane coating. They claimed they could not duplicate the issue and just replace the air purifier. The unit works well in cleaning the air but I will only use it while it is placed on a non combustible surface.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am impressed with this air purifier especially during allergy season. The touchscreen is straightforward and easy to use. The purifier runs quietly and the washable pre-filter is a nice economical plus. We have a small home with carpet throughout which definitely captures and holds dust and allergens. I placed the air purifier in a central location and I can honestly say within two days we noticed an improvement in the indoor air quality and a reduction of allergy symptoms. I have owned other air purifiers but had never noticed the significant results that I have with the Cuisinart Purxium.

Filters from 360 degrees. Doesn't take up much space. Quiet on fan speeds 1 & 2, a bit more fan noise with speed #3 and quite a bit on noise on fan speed #4. We like the UV light for helping filter out germs. Easy to maintain and clean. We have had this unit for a little over a month now and so far so good. It is a simple design that works.
