We appreciate your feedback, and we are sorry about the difficulty you are having with your grill. We would not expect you to have any concerns with maintaining heat under normal circumstances, and we are here to help!
First, please try a soapy-water leak test to ensure there is no leak in the gas line. A bad LP tank can result in leaks and/or bad gas pressure.
If no leak is present, your grill may be in a safety mode known as “bypass." What’s happening is that the regulator thinks there’s a gas leak, so it reduces the pressure. Follow these instructions to reset the bypass safety mode. This is not only the reset, but how you want to light your grill each and every time.
Open the lid Make sure all knobs are in the off position (including side burner if applicable) Turn your LP tank on all the way Wait 60 seconds Turn the first burner to start/high Hit your igniter Turn on remaining burners one at a time and set each to high Close the lid Let your grill preheat to 500-550°F

The sear station makes a difference in the overall end result. Higher temperatures for searing and cooking. Frye grill gets to and stays at 700 plus degrees when desired. It is great for frozen pizzas, steaks, chicken, burgers, pork chops and all roasts. I grill my veggies on the side burner.
The size of this grill is perfect for a family of four - and still plenty of grilling room when we have guests. I recommend getting the Crafted storage on the side, we've already bought three inserts and love them all.
This grill is incredible. Replaced a 20 yo Weber Genesis that still worked but wanted to upgrade. So glad I chose this one. And Ocean Blue color is awesome!
We use the grill 3 to 4x per week. They don't hold up well in Florida's climate. Had to replace most parts under warranty of my old Weber SS gas grill as they rusted out and the grill is covered unless in use. Even the frame rusted out which is ultimately why I replaced my last grill with this new one. I suspect I'll go through the same issues with this one. I've been 22 years in this house and this is my third grill. I like the operation of the new one so far except they left large openings in the storage area. Possums crawl in and annihilate the aluminum catch tray. There are possum tracks in the bottom of the storage area. The leave a big mess. I will need to resolve that issue. One more household project! Grill works great so far!

Great grill so far. Set up was tedious but pretty straight forward. Definitely put it together where you’re going to be using it. It’s very heavy and built to last.
