Grilling perfection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill is absolutely fantastic! It was surprisingly easy and straightforward to assemble. My husband and I were extremely impressed by how sleek and gorgeous this grill is. We were also impressed by all of the features this grill has. I love the burner, it makes it so easy to prepare sides right where my husband is grilling the meat. This grill cooks steak to perfection no matter how you like it cooked. It really cooks any meat to perfection. I love the storage areas included in this grill. There's enough space for every tool and utensil we need. The extra large side table is a huge bonus because it makes prepping and serving a breeze. We love this grill so much and have so much fun using it that we are already planning on buying a bunch of the accessories that are available so we can do even more with this amazing grill!

Durability Problems

Bought the grill and loved it right away. Within 6 months there was a manifold problem and now I can only use two of the burners plus the seer station. I have no idea when my 6 month old grill will be working again. I've always heard great things about Weber, this is my first experience and it has not been good.

I have always been a Weber fan from the first second hand charcoal grill I bought as a newly wed. I continued cooking on special occasions on charcoal, turkeys, chickens, a scaled down version of smoked mullet, and of course hamburgers, The Genesis is the first gas grill I have purchased in 50+ years of marriage. I "saw the light" visiting my oldest son. He and his wife are both professionals with very active lives. He works at home and does a fair share of the cooking, and much of it on his Weber Genesis.
When I lived in Western NC, a group of neighbors and I got together and decided the area needed a barbeque pit. We scrounged up a 250 gallon propane tank, and I built a BBQ trailer, and for about the last 20 years have cooked for Habitat, a blacksmith festival, and for local fundraising events. (I even started making my own charcoal) A normal load for me was about 16-20 pork butts, cooked for about 11-12 hours.
So, it was with a certain about of fear of failure that I tried my first pork butt in the Genesis. My son bought me a small Weber "smoke box" to add the element I was so fearful about. Well, the pork came out in about 4-5 hours, and according to the guests I invited, it was the best smoked pork that they had ever had.
I still love my Weber charcoal pot, and will never give it up, but at almost 80 years old, I see how the Genesis is going to make my life much easier. (Except that my wife will want me to cook more often}

Good grill. The only complaint I have is the grease tray doesn’t catch all of the grease and it’s running out the bottom of the grill. A little messy to clean up.

The grease tray that slides under your grilling surface is designed with a non-stick surface to funnel grease into the drip pan below. We recommend regularly scraping any buildup on the grease tray into the drip pan as part of your routine grill maintenance. This will help new drippings to flow directly into the drip pan.
Grilling on an uneven surface is another common reason why drippings escape the drip pan. It may help to measure and adjust your grill's location.

Always been a charcoal guy but decided to expand my options. Vey happy with the quick heat up time and temp control. The sear zone is genius. Love the multi purpose warming shelf. All the hardware is top notch. If I had one complaint-I wish I could turn the side grill down more.

Check the quality of the parts before you assemble the grill. I have had to build it multiple times because parts were bent. I am disappointed with Weber’s quality these bent frames should never make it out of their facility, lack of quality control. They shipped out replacement parts but not what I expected for the cost of this grill.
