Impressive Performance and Build Quality
I recently purchased the Weber Genesis S-335, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This grill is a true powerhouse, and I couldn't be happier with my investment.
First and foremost, the build quality is outstanding. The stainless steel construction not only looks sleek but also feels incredibly durable. I can tell that this grill is built to last, and it can withstand the elements without a hitch.
One of the standout features of the Genesis S-335 is its exceptional cooking performance. The three high-performance burners, along with the sear station and side burner, offer a versatile cooking experience. Whether I'm searing steaks to perfection or simmering a sauce on the side burner, this grill delivers consistent heat and precise control.
The flavorizer bars and the grease management system do an excellent job of preventing flare-ups and enhancing the flavor of my food. The sear marks it leaves on steaks are restaurant-quality, and the food always comes out juicy and delicious.
I also appreciate the ample cooking space this grill provides. With the spacious cooking grates, I can easily cook for a large group of friends and family without feeling cramped. The warming rack is a handy addition for keeping dishes warm while I finish grilling the rest of the meal.
Cleaning the Genesis S-335 is a breeze thanks to the grease management system and the removable drip tray. It saves me a lot of time and effort, allowing me to focus on enjoying my grilled creations rather than worrying about the cleanup.
Overall, the Weber Genesis S-335 is a top-tier grill that combines exceptional build quality, versatile cooking capabilities, and easy maintenance. It has become the centerpiece of my outdoor cooking experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium grill that delivers outstanding results every time.

Great grill for the money and excellent warranty

Great grill, heavier duty compared to the spirit. Built well, easy to assemble instructions. It does take about 1.5 hours to put together. Had it for 1 month now. Grill gets hot fairly quickly and evenly. Easily cooks thick steaks, chicken, fish, etc. nice top rack that is expandable. Searing station works well with bigger/wider cuts of meat. I am looking forward to enjoying the many years of grilling ahead. Highly recommended!

Love my new Weber! This is my 5th grill and they have all been very good. The few things I wish they would fix are: more drain holes in the side burner pan, reengineer the back side so rain water will not enter into the grill. I hope the frame will hold up and not rust as badly as my old Genesis did. The hinges rusted so bad the doors fell off. But that was after 10+ years in Florida, so it’s probably what you should expect. I’m looking forward to another 10 years with this one. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars!

I am extremely disappointed that it has a thin plastic covering the metal and I can't get it off, even with Goof Off.

Nice uniform heating, great quality materials, almost justifying the high price. Plastic knobs, hope they are cheap to replace.

Even heat, enough to reach 600F in 8-10 minutes. It's easy to use, almost easy to clean, and sturdy. I'll not deduct any start, but it would be really nice to have a little bigger wheels to move around easily.
Searing is so easy. Cooks fast and even. I got a 4 burner model, now wish that I should have went for 5 burner one for extra $200.

Rusted Downgrade from my 2011 Genesis

What a huge disappointment this grill has been. I bought my first Weber Genesis in the beginning of 2011. We grill about 3 times a week, year round, so it's gotten a lot of good use, and has served us well. At almost 13 years old, it needed quite a few parts replaced, including all the burners, the starter, and flame shields. The interior of the cabinet, was also quite rusted, but it was holding the frame together well.
Instead of rebuilding the old grill, with as much as we grill, we decided to get a new Weber Genesis. Ugh! What a mistake. The parts are significantly thinner, and lighter than our 2011 Genesis, but I hoped that it would be okay, and the quality was still there. After spending 5 hours putting it together, I realized the flimsy door was out of alignment. Weber sent me a replacement door.
Then, as I was installing a grill light, on the handle, I not noticed the the lid was missing enamel, right on the edge. So, Weber sent me a new lid. While replacing the lid, I noticed that the "stainless" steel side tables, and control panel, had rust colored marks all over it. I couldn't believe my eyes.
The whole reason why I purchased a "new" grill, is because I didn't feel like rebuilding our old grill, when it might only have a few years left. Well, here I am, with my "new" grill, rebuilding it, again, and again, because ALL of the parts are substandard. At this rate, I'd be surprised it this grill lasted 5 years, instead of the 15 that Weber grills used to be known for.
Our grill is kept under our lanai, which is closed on 3 sides. It's rolled out, when in use, and rolled back under, after it cools down. The wheels are nicer, and easier to roll on the pavers, and as a new grill, it grills nicely, but likely any new grill will do that, even if they rust out in 12 months. For that reason, I gave it 2 stars. If the grill continues to degrade, I'll update my review accordingly, if they'll let me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback and for being a long-time Weber griller. We stand by the quality of our products and we expect them to be long-lasting. We are sorry for the disappointing surface rust as well as for the enamel damage you experienced.

Your grill Owner's Guide has information for keeping your grill in great condition, with special guidance relating to coastal grills. Cleaning the exterior stainless steel surfaces regularly and treating them with a rust inhibitor should remove surface rust as shown in your photos.

We are here to help provide further assistance! Please look for our email outreach soon. Thank you!
