I love the natural gas but do not like the fact that I have to "plug in" my grill to start it every time

Thank you for your feedback and for being a Weber fan! It is exciting to hear that you love your new gas grill.
We suggest turning off the gas at the supply shut-off at the end of your grilling session. As long as the gas can be shut off completely at the source, it is not necessary to disconnect the gas line. We hope this helps!
We want you to have the best possible experience with your grill. Please look for an email outreach from our Support team soon. Thank you!
The grill won’t start. The gas line is a joke and despite following all instructions on clearing the line, returning to upright position and then allowing line to clear…still no gas making it to grill. Match test fails so know it is an issue with the line.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This grill is really well built and has really solid features but it has one really odd manufacturing defect that keeps it from being rated as a 5. When they trim the protective plastic film - which is there solely to keep the stainless steel beauty parts from being damaged - they actually score the stainless steel! How brain dead is that?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Genesis® smart grill is your secret to perfectly grilled food with Weber Connect® smart technology. Simply set your desired food doneness and receive notifications at the moment it’s time to flip and serve. Medium-rare steak? Perfect every time. Also featuring Weber’s largest and hottest sear zone and expandable top cooking grate that allows you to grill a full restaurant quality meal in one shot.
Have only used once (just purchased), but love the high quality of this product and its features! Definitely worth the investment (expect this grill to last 10-15 years, 3-4x longer than any grill I’ve ever owned before)!!!
Really like the grill but was replacing a 15 yr old Weber and the new one is just not constructed as well as the one I am replacing. Stainless is thinner and of lower quality.
