I am a bit disappointed. I've been using Weber grills for over 50 years. There are a couple things I do not like about this model: it does not heat up as quickly as my Genesis 2 unless you use the sear feature. If you do that, once it heats up it is difficult to control the heat mainly reducing it. This grill also seems to use far more gas when cooking than my older model. Also, the fact that the unit itself is not completely enclosed on the sides is really a bad design. Not only does it not look appealing, but it allows for bugs and/or animals to get into the drip pan area. I did not see this before the grill was delivered, or I would not have purchased it. I do like the digital temp readout, although I question how long it will function. Not your best effort!

Thank you for your feedback. We are surprised to learn that your new grill is not easily reaching 500-550F without the sear burner, as that is the expected performance. We apologize for the disappointment!

Well built and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, I am really impressed with this grill. It took me about 1.5 hours to assemble and it was pretty easy. It says you need 2 ppl but I was able to do this on my own. I tried the 3D app but I felt that it was more confusing than the manual. The entire grill is well built and sturdy. I also really like all the smart features that allow me to monitor the temp. I have used it a few times now to cook steaks and burgers and they have turned out great. The burners are powerful and the grates are easy to clean. I cant wait to try cooking other things on this grill. I do wish it came with a cover but I was able to buy an inexpensive one that should make this grill last even longer. One of my favorite parts of this grill are the slide out grease tray. This makes it so easy to clean. The only small downside I have is that the stainless steel is not fingerprint resistant. You will see every fingerprint on this grill.

Thank you for being an awesome Weber fan! We appreciate your feedback and we are thrilled to hear that you are getting great results from your new Genesis grill. That is exactly what we hope to hear!
We understand your concerns with seeing fingerprints on your stainless steel surfaces. We recommend using Weber Stainless Steel Polish with your grill. The formula removes fingerprints, grease, residue, and water marks, leaving grill surfaces shining like new. It can also be used on indoor stainless steel appliances!

Great Grill!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have absolutely no complaints regarding this grill.
I received this unassembled. The packaging and film placed over exposed parts (hood, sides, doors, etc.) protected the shipment thoroughly.
I personally did not assemble the grill but paid someone to do it. He inadvertently did not return the temperature probe upon it's return. Therefore, I was unable to use it to check temp while cooking. I used an instant read thermometer.
This is a high quality, well made grill. It rolls easily on tour casters. It puts out extreme heat. This grill has three burners.
One feature a really like is the sear zone. As you can see by the picture, it put nice grill marks on the steak.
Another feature is the large cabinet beneath the grill. Especially the storage of the gas container within the cabinet. My Weber 2 burner grill does not have this feature.
The grill has 2 large prep and serve tables on each side.
I followed the cooking instructions provided by the app and my steak came out perfectly.
I took the steak off the grill at 120 degrees. As you can see from the picture, it came out a perfect medium.
The Weber Connect app paired easily with the bluetooth on my phone. Wi-fi connection was also seamless. Very pleased with the ease of mating with both functions.
The app itself is fantastic. Helpful videos, tips, instructions, recipes, etc.
I look forward to getting my probe back so I can take full advantages of the "smartness" of this grill.
I have owned multiple products from Webert and never had any problems. Those included a standard charcoal grill, a portable, table top LP canister grill, the Smokey Mountain smoker (works better than my pellet smoker) and a 2 burner LP grill.
I truly think this is the best grill I've ever owned, just after 1 use!
You can't go wrong with the Genesis Smart grill series and I highly recommend it.

Needs an extension Cord

Note this grill and the "Smart" system need to be connected to an electrical outlet via an extension cord to work.....defeats the purpose of its mobility.

Thank you for your feedback We apologize for the confusion regarding the options for powering the Weber Connect Smart Module inside your grill.
You have the option of using a rechargeable power bank OR the power cord with your grill.
We understand that not everyone has access to an outdoor outlet and we want to include all of our grillers! The power bank should be USB-Certified and have a minimum of 10,000 mAh.
We hope this helps you feel more confident and excited about your new grill. Our Support team is reaching out now to make sure you have all the information that you need. Thank you for being a Weber fan!
Electric thermostat unnecessary. Hard to control temperature with this model. If outside plug not working, no way to know how hot grill temp is. I also have the original Weber Grill, and it is still their best model.

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate that you have been a long-time Weber fan and that you chose to stay with us for your newest grill purchase. We are sorry to hear that you are not totally satisfied with your grill, but we are here to help you get the most from the new features on your grill.
Smart grilling technology keeps you connected to your grill and food no matter where you are. Whether prepping in the kitchen or visiting with guests in the backyard, one glance at your smartphone gives you the peace of mind that your food is under control. It also works with the Weber Connect App to act as a virtual grilling assistant.
Regarding the difficulty you are having controlling the temperature of your grill, we would like to know more about your experience. New grills tend to run hotter at first, so you may need to use the grill with the burners on a lower setting than expected.
Your satisfaction is very important to us. Please look for an email from our Support team soon. Thank you again for being a part of the Weber family!
This grill has performed better than I expected. The sear zone is great! It quickly sears burgers, chicken, etc. perfectly.
Setup was easy though a couple of things could have been explained. There are yellow dots on some parts. If you align the dots on adjacent parts you have everything correct. I didn’t catch that at first and had to start over. Also something that explained which side of the grates is the top. I had to look that up online.
Gets nice and hot, but the burners are slow to light. The fatal flaw: you have to plug it in to see the temp gauge! Or use a battery pack (that I could never get to work) that's exposed to the elements. More tech than is necessary to simply grill a steak.
