Wont Connect to WIFI or Iphone App

Grill works great EXCEPT the "smart" portion will not connect to the app or my wifi. My router is close by so that should not be the problem I bought this model becasue of the smart feature. disappointed it doesnt connect.

Assembled the grill in July. Ambient heat was such that a residue was left on the surface of the grill cover when the protective film was peeled off - marring the finish. Cooked some meat really hot in February. The grill igniter push button stopped working and had to be replaced. And the grill covering melted and fixed to the grill cover - had to be scraped off. Otherwise, a great Weber grill. Some fabulous meals have come off the Genesis.

I finally went back to a Weber grill after trying another brand for the last few years. So happy I went with the Genesis. I especially love the smart temperature system that shows the grill temp and the temp of the food, both on the grill’s display and the phone app. I’ve used the side burner just once so far but it worked great, even though it was very windy that day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Genesis Weber Grill. I had my first one for 10 years and it was superb. I wanted the same quality and grilling experience with fun updated features. I ordered the pizza stone when I purchased the grill. It is great. Have already purchased the flat-top but haven't used it yet. I am disappointed that the 'wok' is not available anywhere local or online to purchase. Hope it is soon. The only major disappointment is that I was looking forward to using the "Auxiliary Power Input" by plugging in an external power bank. There was no USB port on my grill with an installed shelf. Should it have been installed before my grill was delivered or is that part is missing. Other than those two items the grill is working great so far.

We grill four to five nights per week in the spring summer, and fall. This Is our daily driver. I wanted a Komado grill or high end smoker but neither of these made sense for our daily needs. This grill is reliable, easily regulated, and heats evenly throughout. Love the side burner and various grill attachments. The digital display and two meat probes help provide consistent cooks and adaptable temps.

Awesome grill and I've always loved Weber. Just missing one thing, and that's the LED handle that comes with the natural gas and 4 burner options. I wish it was an option to buy as an upgrade.

Grill Heaven

My old Genesis was about 30 years old and even the spark starter was still working. But it was past time to make some changes.
This new machine seems formidable. It took two of us old folks and both the book and the BILT app two half days to put it together, and we had only the three expected screws left over.
Works very well. Lots of even heat. Now we need to master the electronics with my iPhone app.
Looks really good, and I think I can expect another 30 years of happy grilling.

Smart Screen is poorly designed.

The grill is great but their are definitely is an issue with the "smart" screen. During the daylight hours, especially in the sun, it is extremely difficult to read the screen. Even though the grill temperature is large, you have to play the game of looking at it from the right, left, etc to see the temperature. Forget about being able to see the food temperature which is much smaller numbers or the propane gas tank tank level. With today's technology this is a disgrace. I wish they had the old fashioned round temperature thermostat on the grill cover so I don't have to go crazy looking at the screen. At night there is not problem.
