Excellent -- For an Electric Grill

Our HOA insurance required we stop using open flame grills (no gas or charcoal). Bummer! As the title of this review states, this grill works well. Food cooks well. However, taste cannot compare to BBQ with charcoal or even gas. This grill is super easy to clean. To maintain efficiency, you must clean after each use -- another big difference with electric grills. The control unit must also be removed and stored indoors, probably due to bluetooth capability. This is very easy and probably will prolong life of control unit even if you don't use the bluetooth control. Weber cart for this grill is overpriced but does work well.

Awesome!

I have only cooked on it, twice, but I am sold. The first time I had doubts. I have a full-on 4 burner stainless steal grill at home, with the fifth "Searing Station". I piped that sucker in to the kitchen stove, so that I get maximum heat at all times. Really Hot, Really Fast - that's my grilling mantra. I definitely didn't trust Weber's claim on the 600°. And, I haven't seen that, yet, because I believe that steak juice flashes at about 550°. But, my doubts were dismayed today, when I just did what I do at home, minus one minute. This thing is the real deal. And, I am grilling in Chicago's Burnham Harbor - on the dock, light winds, a little movement underneath. I just ate an amazing steak. I grilled two. I am eating the other one breakfast. That's all I'm saying. The price paid made me keep the box, in case my doubts were realized. That'l be recycled tomorrow...

It looks great, but my experience has been very disappointing. On day one, the heating element had to be replaced because the unit arrived not working. Even after the repair, it takes an extremely long time to heat up. I live in South Carolina and was using it in 50-degree weather, yet it struggled to maintain temperature and was very slow to recover heat after opening the lid. I’ve owned Weber products my entire life and have always loved them, but this one has been a major letdown. I would not recommend this product.
