The grill works good. Taking a little time to get used to from my old grill cause the burners are lower. Hope it last the 22 years my Napoleon grill lasted. Gave it 3 stars because of the following: 1.) The automated website, with step by step instructions to assists you in assembling the grill was bad. I couldn't get the site to work properly. It kept giving a grill with the assembly instructions that wasn't even close to mine. So ended up using the instruction that came with the grill which were VERY VAGUE. 2.) In the very vague instructions as you start assembling the base it shows that there are yellow dots on one side and base. These two yellow dots were suppose to align the assembly so other parts will fit properly. Will, my grill had the dots put on by a Friday ready to leave worker or, a temp worker or, someone who didn't care, for I had to tear everything apart and flip the base to get everything to fit properly. 3.) The instructions on how to run the igniter wires were hard to figure out and no mention of color coding in the instructions. 4.) Assembling the grill was more difficult then what it should have been. The person who wrote these instructions should assemble a grill as how the instructions were written, not because he knows it goes this way. 5.) I also feel it was overpriced by about $200. I couldn't buy the grill without the side burner, something I'll never will use. The free meat thermometer is useless to any BBQ guy who uses his eyes and juice flow for doneness.

I bought this grill for myself as a retirement present. It is replacing my 16 year old Summit which really is like new. I was planning on getting another Summit, but there really have not been many changes to the grill over the years I owned mine. The new Genesis has so many great features and allows me to do things I just could not do with my old grill. The Weber crafted accessories are fabulous. We have used the Pizza stone, sear grate and griddle. All add a dimension to the grill that just change the way you use it. The griddle lets you make breakfast for a crowd pretty much all at once. No one has to wait for french toast or pancakes since you can make a bunch at a time. The pizza stone lets you make great crafted pies. The only downside has been the rotisserie accessory that just does not seem to fit. Working with Weber now to figure that out. The grill itself is great. The button ignition is so much better than pushing in the knobs and the storage bin on the end is so useful. Holds all of the grill accessories. All in all an outstanding package that I am sure, based on how it is made and how I care for it will last for years to come.
Id love to be able to give this grill a proper rating but I havent been able to use it since buying it almost a month ago. The LP regulator hose is leaking and needs replaced. I spoke with Weber customer service about 3 weeks ago concerning this. They assured me that a new regulator hose would be shipped to me. I still have not received the replacement regulator hose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So far, so good. It was missing a tank scale but Weber immediately helped me get that resolved. Also, the foldable upper rack initially laid at an angle, but is designed to lay flat when weight/heat applied. Love it.
I have had Weber grills for the last 30 years. Each time I get a new one, the engineering and design keeps getting better. Couldn’t be happier with the quality and performance.
