Cooking temperature is consistently and evenly heating meats and poultry. Added craft accessories I.e. griddle grate and veggie basket allows for indoor cooking easier outside. I now prepare all my dinner components in one stop. Very happy with this purchase.
Starter is on left side of grill, sear station is on right side. I usually start by turning on sear station and adjacent burner, getting grate hot and then searing steak. Now I have to turn on gas on the three left burners to get the sear burner lit, then turn off left burners to cook steak. Very inconvenient, a poor design. Also, Weber doesn't sell 16X19 inch stainless steel grates, only 3, 11X19 grates. Can only use the Griddle rack, 16X19, with one of the 11X19 grates. Another poor design.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for any disappointment. We always recommend using the grill's main burners in tandem with the sear burner since it helps keep the grills internal temperature hot. This allows the sear burner to raise the cooking area to an extra-high searing temperature.

Grill is well designed. Have used for grilling and rotisserie and everything was delicious. Sear burner is a key add on. This version included stainless steel grates which clean up beautifully. Really happy i went with Weber.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this grill a couple months ago and am very pleased overall with its performance during the dozen or so grilling sessions in that time. The grill is quite an upgrade from my (very) old Thermos grill. as it cooks quickly and evenly. The extra "Sear" burner works as advertised and is a great plus, in my opinion. The grill looks very nice, is well made and solid. The grates are easy to clean, which I did not expect, so a pleasant surprise there. My only (nitpicking to be sure) complaint is that the top of the lid is completely flat and rain water pools and just sits there until it evaporates. I think the lid should be designed with at least a slight curve on top, so that rain water runs off.
