What A Great Grill-Worth The Money

I have always loved Weber charcoal grills but since I'm getting a bit older I decided to give propane another try. After reviewing the Weber options (and competitors) decided on the Genesis S-435. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. It is a beauty of a grill. It performs just as advertised. And, yes, the favorizer bars over the flame do give some good taste to what is grilled. Only thing I added is a smoker box that works just fine to provide hardwood smoke flavor to my grilling. Grease removal system works perfectly and doesn't require lots of bending or finagling around to clean...easy peasy. I am amazed at how very efficient this unit uses fuel! For the size of this Beast-Of-A-BBQ I was able to get lots of cooking done. Several long cooking items (2 hrs) and I can't even count how may burger, steak, chicken cooking's.
Only thing I wish they would do a bit of a redesign is on the gas-tank fill gauge mechanism. It is underneath and really, really hard for me (and a couple of other older guys) to hoist up onto the mechanism. So it is a great idea but not workable. I guess for the younger folks it's not a problem but for me, and folks my age who just can't lift its not workable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for being a long-time Weber fan. We are thrilled that you are loving your propane Genesis grill! Welcome to the Flavorizer Bar Family!
We appreciate your feedback about the LP tank scale. We find that some fans prefer the hidden tank design, but we are sorry to learn this has provided some frustration for you. We are always listening and using feedback from our fans to evolve and improve our products.
We would like to know more about your experience. Please look for an email follow-up from our Care team. Thank you!
It was delivered in a box, well packaged and organized. Super easy and intuitive to assemble. All the materials are high quality. I love how easy it is to clean. I also love the temp controls. This is my 4th Weber…q-Series, 22” and 18” kettles. Well worth the investment as I’m sure I’ll have it for years to come.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Grill!

We needed a new grill this summer and decided to splurge a bit on the more expensive grill. I love it! I love the features of the searing burner and the ability to have different types of cooking surfaces. I really appreciate being able to cook my entire meal outside so I'm not going back and forth and so that I can be outside with my family while I prepare dinner.
Originally, my side burner didn't ignite without a lighter. But, Weber saw my original review and reached out. They stuck with a fairly long process of sending photos and instructions back and forth, and now my side burner ignites. I'm fairly certain the original problem was Lowe's installation, so I'm really grateful that Weber helped me think through and work through getting it to work. Great Customer Service makes this grill even better.
Well-designed, high-heat grill that really shines. I've had Weber gas grills for years, and not surprisingly, their newest line is their best. I particularly like the griddle option I purchased. No more smoky bacon in the house! I cook breakfast outdoors on my deck now.
The grill structure is void of protection for the electrical connections and the gas connections underneath making it susceptible to damage by snow or rain. Previos models I owned had an enclosed compartment under the grill that housed those components. Apparently the designers assume everyone will use a grill cover forgetting that sometimes we grill in the winter or in spaces that make the placement/removal of a cover difficult. My las Weber Genesis lasted 12 years of all season use, never covered. Also if you tried to light the grill with a lighter,( after your electricals go) the new bars are very close to each other and preclude your placing the lighter close to the burner. All in all an expensive grill that in an era of technological advance looks and feels as a grill designed in 1950. Clearly being a leader is not a condition that will last in perpetuity
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
