Get your soapy water ready!

The amount of effort I had to use to get the plastic off of the lid and the door handles is completely UNACCEPTABLE. Shame on you Weber! I had to removed the lid and repeatedly wipe the lid and doors with soapy warm water (as suggested by Weber support) and slowly and meticulously remove the plastic one small piece at a time for 20 minutes. The next morning there was still glue residue all over the lid and the doors. I ended up using isopropyl alcohol on paper towels for another 10 minutes or so get get the glue off. UNACCEPTABLE! I will post this in all of my online reviews. So frustrating!

Your feedback is important to us! We're sorry to hear about the sticker residue on the grill. For these cases, we recommend blowing the part with a hair dryer to make the adhesive more pliable and using 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol to try and remove the remaining adhesive.

Just in Time for the Big Game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Weber Genesis gas grill is great! It arrived just in time for the Big Game so we will be breaking this grill in! It took 2 adults approximately 2 hours to put it together. The step-by-step directions were fairly simple to follow. Could one person put it together? No, there are definitely times having a second person is a must. I really the large cooktop and the side burner will come in handy too. The grill looks impressive on my patio too. I can't wait to have everyone over this weekend to enjoy it.

Just perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this Weber grill a few weeks ago. Let me tell you it's amazing. It was easy to take out and put together. Cooked food amazing and evenly which is awesome. The look is even amazing! This by far is the best grill we have ever had. Looking forward to summertime grill outs with the family.
Cooks as good as propane grill will. Don’t hold smoke well ,but can smoke in it. Works like it should when using the rotisserie and holds very good temp. Some assembly required.

The grill itself seems well built and was relatively easy to put together…although time consuming. However, for such an expensive grill the electric start for the main grill burners wouldn’t work. Spoke to Weber and they sent out replacement parts. Still doesn’t work Now, the grill still works if you manually start it and it seems to cook well, but I’m greatly disappointed in the lack of electric starting in such an expensive piece of outdoor cooking equipment. I expected better.

It's defective and support wouldn't resolve the problem.

I purchased the Propane model with intent to convert to natural gas with "commercially available" conversion kits for this purpose. When assembling, I called your helpline and was told that Weber does not recognize the use of conversion kits to natural gas, and warranty is voided. i packed up the pieces and thankfully, COSTCO accepted return of the propane model opened box. When I check to see the cost of a natural gas unit, it is about $400 more. The conversion kit is about $100. Your helpline would not help me determine what parts are different (other than the ports) to spend $400 extra for $100 of duplicated parts.

Side burner was not working when I first used the grill. I called Weber and ordered a part, I’ve been waiting for at least a month.
