I am unable to get enough heat to sear meat, even in the "sear zone." I am very unhappy with this and hope there is a fix.

Thank you for your feedback. We expect our grills to provide steady, even heat. It sounds like your grill might be in "bypass mode," causing the low temperature you are experiencing. What’s happening is that the regulator thinks there’s a gas leak, so it reduces the pressure.
First, rule out a gas leak by performing a soapy-water leak test per the instructions in you grill owner's guide. You can also click the link below for help: https://consumer-care.weber.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023849891-How-do-I-perform-a-gas-leak-test-on-my-grill-
Your grill should easily reach 500F, which is hot enough to cook and sear. If there is no leak, then it's possible your grill is in a safety mode called "bypass." Follow these instructions to reset the bypass safety mode. This is not only the reset, but how you want to light your grill each and every time.
Open the lid Make sure all knobs are in the off position (including side burner if applicable) Turn your LP tank on all the way Wait 60 seconds Turn the first burner to start/high Hit your igniter Turn on all remaining main burners, one by one Close the lid Let your grill preheat to 500-550°F

I love the grill, however I am very disappointed that I can not buy a Webber grill cover for it. I had to buy some crap aftermarket cover and it’s not very good so my grill is getting exposed to rain . When will Webber be coming out with the cover for this grill?

Beautiful, heavy and awesome. The casters are impressive as well as the complete grill itself. Almost hated to fire it up. I have gotten several compliments from friends and family, one which reflects on their own experiences with the Genesis
Not as good as my last three burner genesis, more heat!

Love the room and how well it grills. Very easy to control temperature. Not loving the spots of rust already appearing on the burner control console after only a month and always being under a Weber grill cover when not in use. Definitely appears to be some quality issues with rust on the newer grills.

We greatly appreciate your feedback. We are excited to hear you are enjoying your new Genesis S-435!
However, we are very sorry to hear you are seeing rust spots. We are happy to help.
If your grill is located in a coastal or humid area, or if chlorine is present in your environment, additional maintenance will be needed to keep up the appearance of the exterior steel parts.
Also, below are a couple helpful tips.
At the first sign of staining/discoloration/surface rust we would recommend cleaning with stainless steel cleaner (ex. Bar Keepers Friend). Once cleaned, we recommend using a stainless steel polish (ex. Weber's brand) to keep it looking its best in-between cleanings.
Once a week we would recommend wiping down the grill with a wet towel or rag and then drying completely.
We would only recommend covering your grill if you know inclement weather is coming.
The quicker you get at a stain the easier it will be to clean off.
