Easy Large Storage Hub

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this to backup my computer. This device is compatible with both Windows and Mac. It has a very large capacity of 8 TBs and is compatible with my specific model. The ports that are on the front of the device allow me to charge my phone while it's being backed up. It is small and does not take up a lot of room on my desk when I have it connected to my computer. I like that it is easy to use and software is included that allows me to backup my computer easily. It has a 2-year limited warranty as well just in case any issues arise. It is password protected just in case it is stolen. I would recommend this to someone that is looking for a device to back up their computer easily with a small footprint.

Just what I needed

I lost so many of my files and pictures when my hard drive crashed so I needed something relatable. I found this hard drive really easy to use- simple plug and play. I was able to back up two laptops and 3 phones and there’s still tons of space!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a graphic designer who needs extra hard drive space and backup drives are imperative in order to properly and efficiently do my work. After trying the One Touch, I've been really happy with the storage, speed, and compatibly. This came packaged very well with easy instructions. It also came with a big of about 7 different outlet conversions, which I thought was odd (living in the US, I only needed the standard two-prong one) but I can see the benefit if one were to maybe travel often to other countries. It has a USB port to plug into your Mac or PC, but I also really appreciated that the fact that it has a lighting port as well. All-in-all, the quick start-up, ease of use and speed was great and it's just enough storage for my design and backup needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the box containing my new Seagate One Touch I was surprised to see the power supply came with adapters for any power source used around the world. To me this represented the thought that was put into who and where this hardware might be used. After finding the correct adapter for my use, I was quickly able to attach the drive to my desktop via the 3.0 USB port.
After I attached the drive, I downloaded and installed the Toolkit software from the Seagate website. This software provides all the function that were needed to secure, backup, restore and mirror your data. The software and the hard drive worked well together allowing me to get the most out of my new hardware.
First, I set up a weekly scheduled backup of my important files so that I did not have to remember each week to manually backup this information. Next, I create a mirror folder on my PC sync to my new storage device. This was so that whenever I add, delete, or edit files in one folder, Toolkit automatically updates the other folder with my changes.
I have been using my One touch for about 2 weeks with no issues. I am happy with speed of both the writing and reading of information from the drive. I would recommend this drive to anyone looking for some extra space to securely store your information.

I bought it 2 weeks back as backup drive for 6tb nas volume. The box says window or mac so i gambled a bit as i had a linux distro nas. The Linux that ran the nas didn't recognize the exFat partition the drive shipped with, so i deleted it and created NTFS volume and was able to then use from the NAS. The price was great for an 8tb drive so I worked in my favor.
